I am really having trouble keeping the temp down in my room. I have it a 90 in there. It is been up to 95 today. I had to add lights because they needed it. Now I can not keep the temp below 87-90. I am spraying the tops of kids every couple of hours. The older ones I am not so worried about it is the ones I just planted. should I just moved to grow boxes.?? I am using a bathroom closet now. I have a total of 5 fans and a fart fan going. I am also keeping the closet door open to help keep it cool. I am going to try to get some pics up tonight. . Any help or advice would definitely be appreciated ~ Thanks

Well that's good news anyways. You have to get air from the house in there. Can you set those fans up so they get some air circulation going and not just blowing the same hot air around in the closet?

Also, is your thermometer in the shade? They can give you overly hot readings if they are under the lights.

don't spray your plants during lights on you will fry them. If you can, just open up your space. The temps in my home sound about the same as yours and my 400w keeps my room between 75-83 or so. You must have a small space ?

That Should Be Fine As Long As You Have The Air Circulating And They're Getting Plenty Of Water. I'd Say To Not Spray The Tops Of Them Depending On What Type Of Light You Have Them Under Like A Hps. My Temp Is Usually Around 85-95 And I Still Get Nice Harvests.

Yeah See If That Doesnt Help Them By Not Spraying. How Old Are These Plants And What Stage Are They In?

Well If They're Only A Week Old I'd Say To Keep Spraying Them And Make Sure They Get Plenty Of Air. How Close Do You Have Your Lights To Them?

3 inches for the smaller bulbs and 5-6 on the really large bulbs. I just realized that I do not have a air vent that goes to the bath. just the fart fan. The a/c It goes right by the bathroom door but not in the bathroom itself. That could also be why it is so hot in there. I have opened it all up. The larger bulbs are also on the older plants. Should I still spray them.? They will go into flowering on Tues

You Got Any Pics Of Them?i Think Since They're Under Cfl They'll Be Ok If You Keep Spraying Them.

yes I am going to upload them when my hubby gets home 9 pm est. I can not get them to upload and they are off of my phone. I am spraying them and checking the moister. I am having to water them more than I thought I would.. I am stressed about over watering them. I am going off the moister meter. They are like a new born baby. I have to check on them every hour. I am going to upload pics of the grow space and the plants tonight. I need some feedback.

Irish... if the room is small you may have no other choice but to put in a portable A/C. They have them at Wal*Mart for $300. I had to get one because my room is upstairs and once I put a 400 watt light up... the temps shot up.

Currently my light is not air cooled... but my next one will be. Even so.... I still think the temps will still require me to run the portable a/c. Heat rises ... and in my house the upstairs is ALWAYS hotter then downstairs.

These a/c are stand alone... but you do have to vent them. I'm venting mine out the window. They provide the window guard to run the vent. My window is covered with cardboard so I cut a hole in the cardboard to run the vent hose through. It's been sealed with duct tape and I've checked it at night.... can't see any light from the outside and because I have blinds on the window too you can't tell the window has cardboard covering it from the inside.

Since yours is in your bathroom.... maybe you could change out the fart fan to a 350 cfm exhaust fan (standard bathroom fans are much less powerful) to help pull out the heat without adding an a/c. Good luck :)

We are going to change out the fart fan this weekend. I hope I do not have to get a portable a/c but I do not want the crop die. I am hoping that getting air moving will help. I went and got the extra fan from storage. Its a box and is putting off more air. The temp is slowly dropping. I turned up the a/c too. Thanks for the advice:mrgreen:
