epic win

You just won a new tax.

But Obama said it wasn't a tax.

Epic lies!
both sides argued that it wasn't a tax.

but the SCOTUS said it was. a rose by any other name comes to mind. i can give two shits less what they call it. i know how the new, constitutional health care law works.

someone like you, making $30k with 5 kids, will have all but free health care. you will be subsidized heavily. your kids will get free check ups, and you'll get a rebate if your insurer spends too much money on administrative bullshit rather than actual health care. and you won't have to worry about getting dropped while your kid is undergoing expensive treatments because they discovered he had a sore throat when he was 3 years old and decide to say you lied to them about a pre existing condition.

those making 4x poverty, i.e. a single person making $50k+ a year, will have to buy insurance or pay a fine to the tune of $700. the horror. heavens to betsy, whatever shall they do? it's tyranny! they should be able to push their costs onto you if they so choose.

and whiney pussies like non theist will get to stay on mommy and daddy's health care plan for another 12 years, and complain about it the whole time while not understanding how the law actually works.

the PPACA is garbage, but it's garbage in the right direction.

so bucky, whats also enshrined in our constitution is:

negroes are 3/5 of a european
negroes are human chattel who can never be freed save by their legitimate owners
racially segregated facilities are acceptable
native americans have no rights, no treaties and no power to resist acts of congress or white settlers
agents of law enforcement have no responsibility to act when they witness a crime while on duty
imprisoning people in concentration camps for their ethnic origin is a good thing
rounding up mexicans and forcibly deporting them is acceptable, even if they are us citizens
corporations are people with every right of any person
states are not allowed to have their own laws unless the feds approve them
joining the union is a murder-suicide pact, and no state or territory can withdraw, ever
an individual who holds us citizenship must pay us taxes even if he hasnt set foot in the us for 30 years, and his business takes place solely in the nation of france
a confessed rapist cannot confess his crimes unless he is first informed that he does not have to confess, because he may not be aware that he in in america when he rapes
george w bush won the election against al gore

if the supreme court is in fact supreme, then you cant complain about any of this shit either, nor can you demand the court reverse their previous decisions.

It's real funny. I'll be going to jail for not properly treating my bipolar when I can't pay my tax. Not for pot.

I have three kids. A family of five, including me.

Race isn't mentioned in the constitution. The 3/5 clause was for representation for all non-free persons, not negroes. Chinese were slaves too.

it wont be jail, its a civil penalty, thus it will snowball into a crushing "debt" of fees and fines until they garnish your wages or throw you in slam for the unpaid fees on the "debt". it's all about the language. you cant be thrown in prison for not bowing to obamacare, you get thrown in prison for not being able to pay the fee for not bowing to obamacare. subtle shadings are the best shadings for socialists. broad bold strokes give traction for dissent, and dissent is bad.

know your role, and submit to the authority of your new god-king Barack Hussien Obama MM-MMM-MMMMM Everybody Works. Everybody Pays. MM-MMM-MMMM

they can't garnish your wages, says so right in the bill.

nice fear mongering though.

my ass they can't reverse previous decisions.

but until they do reverse them, it's constitutional. fact.

since we only have two viable candidates for POTUS, you need to understand what the most important thing at stake is.

2 or 3 SCOTUS judges will be stepping down soon. that means we can have a conservative court or a liberal one for the next 20 years depending on which puppet gets into office.

i prefer the liberal puppet.

you can't go to jail for refusing to pay the fine/tax.

my apologies for the confusion about your family size, what i said still basically applies.

specified was free persons (5/5), indentured persons (5/5), indians not taxed (0/5), and all other persons (3/5). yes thats so much better. natives are 0/5 and every person held as a slave was 3/5. since negroes were the only slaves allowed in the united states, regardless of your bleatings, the point is technically correct but still moot. any person held as a slave was required to have failed the "one drop" test. a chinaman would of course be classified as a mullato, while european persons held as slaves were classified as quatroons or octoroons.

nice try bucky, you failed to make your point. the turd still floats in the judicial punchbowl.

they cant garnish your wages for the actual fine/tax/whatever the hell that thing is, but they can ALWAYS throw your ass in jail for refusing to pay fees fines and levies laid by the courts for refusing to pay the aforementioned tax/fee/fine/levy/whatever the fuck obama claims his new penalty is today.

if there were an Amatuer Shystering Wing in the Lawyer Hall of Fame, this would definitely move you closer to induction.

liens and levies are not allowed. criminal penalties are not allowed. this tax penalty is pretty much unenforceable, putting it somewhere between a tax and a parking ticket. exactly where is up for debate.

FFS, if any of you guys paid attention to actual news over the past 3 fucking years you'd already know that Buck is telling the facts.

Stop getting your "news and info" from jackass pundits on Fox. You guys realize the difference between opinion and news?

Typical Fox viewer lack of information and lack of a grasp on reality.

but only for the obamacare penalty, not for the penalties for refusing to pay the penalty. penalties, levies, fines, fees, and eventually wage garnisment, leins and possible imprisonment are the penalties for refusing to submit to the initial obamacare penalty, and are thus unrelated and unrestrained by the obamacare bill. the $700 or so "O-tax" if unpaid will result in numerous fees fines and other penalties unrelated to the original "O-tax", and thus they may garnish, lein, levy and imprison without regard to obamacare, except with regard to the original "O-tax"

real world example:

parking ticket. $80 fine. civil, no jail time possible. the courts lost it. no notification, no original ticket, not court date, nothing.

seven years later...

regularly scheduled license renewal is
prevented. ordered to show up for court for a failure to appear seven years ago. $80 civil fine is now $4300 and they are talking about 3 months in jail for willful failure to appear.

in the intervening 7 years i had been to the court on 2 other traffic tickets, all without any mention of this ancient forgotten ticket from san francisco, and i dont even think i was in san francisco any time that month. cant prove where i was so im guilty. tough shit. pay up or go to jail. none of this was in any way related to the $80 ticket that i could fight, it was all based on the failure to appear, fines, fees and other bullshit that rolled up around it like a cartoon snowball.

reality. its cold out here, bring a parka.

I don't watch much TV "news" on either Fox or MSNBC, both are nothing more than opinion.

Try again
A law with no teeth is not a law, it;s a request. While you may not be paupered or jailed for refusing to obey obamacare you WILL be "O-taxed". Refusing to pay the "O-tax" will result in numerous fines fees penalties and other legal problems which will result in your being paupered or jailed. The net result is the same as setting fines fees and possible imprisonment for refusing to follow obamacare's mandate by refusing to pay the "O-tax". Those who dissent and refuse to submit to the "O-tax" will eventually be facing jail, prison, or eternal servitude under the yoke of a monstrous un-payable debt to the feds. The easiest way to prove the "O-tax" will have criminal penalties is bundling it with the income tax return and other IRS forms. anyone who crosses the IRS is cruising for a bruising. if the "O-tax was really harmless it would be administered by HHS, not the most nefarious and brutal organization on the planet. (including the Mafia, NKVD, KGB, CIA, NSA and the Montgomery Ward Catalog)

Pretending the "O-tax" is harmless and non-intrusive is a lie, and that would make you a liar.
