Thanks Hubert I had to give you some rep for helping me so quickly thank you I'll be watching to see when they'll pop their head up.

From what I read it can be anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks.

Both nitrogen and CO2 are essential for plant growth, you will need to add nitrogen. CO2 supplementation is another matter, it is not neccessary to add CO2...the levels in the air will keep your plant thriving. CO2 supplementation really only helps when it is the cause of photoinhibition, the limiting factor so to speak. That only happens when every other contributing factor is 'outperforming' the CO2, for that to happen you basically need ideal conditions...maximum lighting, max fert uptake, and so on.

You will be able to see pollen on your fan leaves in all likelyhood, male flowers will appear before female flowers. Generally speaking it takes about 2 weeks to determine sex after the switch to 12/12. However, if you have vegged long enough you will likely start seeing pre-flowers after 5-6 weeks of veg.

Usually you want to keep your plants at least a couple of feet apart, so in a 12x6 area you could probably put 10-15 maybe even 20 plants if you keep them under control.

As far as your soil, I would definetely mix in some compost and maybe find some manure to mix in as well. It's hard to say how much to water them, you'll kind of have to feel that one out for yourself.

The only thing limiting your yield is how you grow it, the potency of the pot the seeds came from holds no bearring on how they will turn out IMO
hey thanks for everything and haha im growing outdoors

my friend works at a flower shop so im getting some pro mix and some other good soil that he has.

also any way to make compost in about a week? do i just throw in the shit like the leaves and all that. Like i just throw the shit in there and put some dirt on it and plant on the dirt?

also im in New york if that makes any bearing

and one last question

does it change output if i..

Pick the buds up as soon as i see them and let them dry or should i wait the like two months and let them fully muture and then pick all of it at once or do i break it down into sessional harvest like. after a month harvest everything i have, then after the next month do it, then give it another month and harvest it again.

im planting this weekend so i have from april 27th- mid october

i heard that was the growth season in upstate new york

Your question makes it seem like that's not the case for you, and if it's not other types of training would probably help you alot more.
Oh that's definetly the case for me. I had 16 plants in a 3' x 3' tray, I just pulled 4 of them out last night and planted them in pots so I still have 12 plants in my tray, which is still way too many!!

So what do I do to lollypop them? Chop all of the branches off & leave the fan leaves???

Here's some pics to show how crowded it is.
1st pic is half of the tray - 8 white widow plants
2nd pic is 16 plants

I don't know if you can really make compost in a week, but compost is fairly cheap.

As for when to harvest...you'll need to let them mature, and preferably only harvest once. That will give you the best yield, and most likely the best potency..if you know what to look for, which is cloudy and/or amber trichomes depending on strain.

True lollypopping would mean you'd cut off ALL the secondary growth (branches not leaves) However...in your case I'd just cut off anything you think isn't going to get enough light to be worth while. Anything shaded that probably won't get much bigger on the plant might make worthwhile clones

I'd expect no less from a plant at that stage, the first two weeks of flower is normally when the plant stretches and uses alot of it's stored nutrients. That is a good sign, it means there wasn't an excess of nutes in the medium, from here on out your leaves will be yellowing and dying off. Take it easy on the nitrogen, alot of people add it when they see yellow leaves but nitrogen is essential in smaller amount during flower.

ok so I'm gonna chop at least the bottom 1/3 of my plants branches. Is it ok to chop them all off at once? If so, I'm cutting them tonight.
Thanks alot for your help

That should be fine, I've never had any trouble doing it.
Cool thanks for your help man...I chopped the bottom 1/3 of branches last night on all of them. I did lollipop one of my widows that I topped last week, so it should just be 2 main colas. It will be fun in the end to have different methods to compare to each other.

Thanks again! rep for you once I figure out to post one...lol

alright well ill be buying some compost shortly

and i heard most plants take about 8-10 weeks to full mature but then i hear that most harvest in mid october and plant april. Do i get like two full harvests out of the plant?

if i plant this weekend and give it the ten weeks and then harvest then can i let it grow again for antoher time and harvest again?

Also i heard it takes about two weeks to differentiate the males and female just making sure thats right

Well the timeframe they give you (8-10 weeks) only includes flowering time, and outdoors that should start around mid-august. You won't be able to get two full harvests from an outdoor plant (not around here anyway) but you should end up with some monster plants if you put them out soon.

As for telling male from female...the male flowers will show first, and you have a limited timeframe to remove them (the male plants). I'd start checking in early august for pre-flowers, and then check a few more times until you're sure what's what.
