HI guys, my friend and i started our first grow with two unknown seeds ( if you know the strain or have ideas let me know ).
we are getting to about 3 weeks into vegging, using 1 5000k 100W CFl and 1 3500k 60w CFL Per plant.
Are we gunna need more lights ?
Soil we used pro mix bx, and have transplanted once so far.
We just started using our nutes, Plant-Prod all purpose 20-20-20, How good is this stuff ? ( ill post a picture of the amount i used per 750ml of water, probably about .8 Ml. )
Here our some pictures of our plants, ( the light coloring on the smaller plant is just due to lighting )

Tho I am not a soil grower I would guess that your plants are over fertilized, that's why the tips are dark. Flush then cut back on your nutes. Soil probably has nutes all ready.

we just started using fert. as i took the pictures so its impossible for them to be over fertilized, ill keep this grow updated with pics etc. help out here guys :)

They are shiny because i took pics right after i sprayed the leaves with water, and do i need to trim some leaves off ?

You're plants don't look bad OP. A little over watered (especially the taller one) but other than that they look fine. And don't cut off any leaves.

That amount of light "should" be okay, but if I were you I would get more. Like, another 60w 3000k for flower.

Har Har: Looks like you've got primarily an Indica strain going in the second thumbnail from the left on top.

If you're using good soil, go easy on the fertilizer. Miracle Grow is often the choice of newbie growers and it's good for a couple of months right out of the bag, but don[t over water it. Water by "the first knuckle rule," If you're into the dirt to the first knuckle of your index finger and it's dry then you need to water.

You'll want to consider a schedule like: water, feed or water, water feed. Put drip pans under your pots and don't over water until they start to fill like most people do. You'd probably be surprised by how little water your plants really do need.

You might want to investigate the Eco Pots out of Arizona. If you like to grow in dirt it's pretty hard to screw up with the Eco Pots. They're self watering by capillary action up. You have a fill tube at the top and a reservoir in the bottom, a separating plate, a couple of inches of vermiculite to hold the water and attract the roots down to it and a 20% perlite and 80% good potting soil mix. My plants love it.

If that reflection in your pictures is because you're foliar spraying your plants don't do it with the lights on. Those little beads of water become magnifying glasses and they'll heat stress your plants. You might also want to try half strength fertilizer for a while to see how they like it. I hope this helps. HSA they helped a ton thankyou very much, what is a good setup for the CFL's where i can get most lights possible without having extension cords running everywhere?
We now have the lights arranged properly where they are both about 2 inches away.
We are setting up for flowering tonight as well.

yikes, no wonder your bottoms of your plants are looking so sparse. they're getting absolutely nothing light wise. you may want to take the plant out of that tin foil rubbermaid and just set it under the lights. Or trim some veg off. The plant is looking good, but it definitely isn't getting enough light.

Also, a 3500k cfl doesn't really have much in the color spectrum for your plants to use. Sort of a useless bulb. If you're in flowering I would invest in another 3000k or lower bulb 2700k is your best bet, your light looks way too blue right now to be flowering ready.

also, that plant close up you posted of the stems looks like a boy. you may be SOL buddy.

Those are definitely males buddy sorry to tell ya...those are little pollen sacs..

Not to late try a clone if you can

both? those pollen sacs are just on the taller plant.
And i havent done any reading on clones so have no idea how that works :s
