So this is my first grow. I know some basics about growing but it won't be enough. Feel free to post and any advice is appreciated.

Its beside my window, gets 14 hrs of light (around6-8 hrs of direct sunlight).

When should be a proper time to flower it if i want like a 2-2.5ft tall plant? i was thinking about vegging it for 3-4 weeks, what do you guys think?

Its hard to say. But a plant will double in size during flower so I would switch to flowering when its around a foot tall.

Hey there man... Welcome and have a nice grow! Happy 420 to you too. How are you planning to affect size, stretching and flowering using only natural day light? The cannabis plant/weed (depending on strain) has a very specific lifecycle when it grows naturally. imao if left at your window it will take long and you'll be harvesting late october-november exactly as if you were doing an outdoor grow! The reason for that is that for the plant to flower you need shorter days and sunlight that reaches earths atmosphere should be of orange-ref-far red spectrum. and that happens in Autumn. If you don't replicate those conditions by photoperiods and growlights you'll just have to wait for mother nature to do what she does best! And that's growing stuff!!! lol

I think he undertands that. He's asking how long untill he has to start flowering to stop his plant from growing over two and a half feet.

He has no lights to start flowering when he wants!! At least that's what I got from his answer, when asked about lights, he said sunlight!!!

You can use sunlight to flower. As long as you move the plant after the needed 12 hours. He can set it in the sun for the daylight and put it in his closet for the dark timeMrNash:7324763 said:

Yes that he can do... but would the spring/summer sun produce nice, thick, dense buds? Unless it's an autoflower strain... I doubt it!

Am I wrong to try and explain this rather that answering something for the shake of it? Maybe after reading this he would stop worrying about when to flower and research IF he can flower and how! I would appreciate someone for telling me i'm wrong in my thinking rather than answering my question which is on a wrong basis! No disrespect there Stoner! just saying... Peace out and happy 420!

I guess i will flower it when its about 1 ft tall. And yes i will be flowering using sunlight and my closet, hope its all good? MrNash what do u mean by spring and summer sun, its currently summer so my plant gets a lot of direct sunlight, isn't it suppose to be good for the plant?

Its just a page from a note pad, to reflect the light. If it works that is, i saw someone do it so i 'm trying it out
