I have a grow box, and my veg chamber is only 22 inches tall... but its 4 feet wide lol...if i place cfls along the side, will my mother be able to keep growing horizontaly?
Can I lst my mother plant?

i think you definitely would be able to,with some creative tying and the proper veg time the sky is the limit.what wattage of cfls are you gonna use?

Im going to use either 2 x 2ft fluorecent or 4 x 40w cfl (6500k)... any suggestions?

For a mother you can pretty much do whatever you want to her. I don't think any re-shaping you could come up with would be more stressful than cutting off however many clones at a time. I treat my mother like shit personally, and she keeps on ticking.

id say to use the cfls cause the fluorescent fixtures spread their light out over two feet thus concentrating less energy on your mom,unless shes two feet long

I concur on this one, i use 2 footers but I use 4 of them to veg out an lst`d plant for flowering under scrog

One could also suggest using both fixtures (unless you can only use one because the other is reserved for a seperate plant),meaning the fluoro tubes right above the canopy with the cfls mounted on the wall of the cab or sides of the pot.this would give her light all around Which,im sure she would appreciate this especially in her lst'd state.

i believe it also could work the other way around with the fluoro tubes mounted against the walls on both sides of your mom wth The 4 cfls on top,either way i think it would look great

Hey man it takes more than people think to put yourself out there and ask questions/accept help sometimes,chances are the more questions/answers posted the better your plants will grow,just keep em comin!we must preserve and pass on as much knowledge as possible for the further cultivation of this miraculous substance we all have in common
