hydrogen peroxide during flushing?

Does anyone do that when using hydroponics bucket bubbler?

I have heard of using H2O2(peroxide) to help the roots get more oxygen during flush. Other than that, I'm not really sure.

I've heard of it but it doesn't seem to be a common practice, I don't want to sound like a sheep but sometimes sticking with what is proven to work is a good thing. But if you do try peroxide let us know how it works.

given that its byproducts are water and oxygen I am guessing you can use it through flush, though airating the roots is probably not as necessary during flush because growing out your root system isnt going to do much since your about to harvest, could still do it anyways to prevent bacteria/fungus

I am still in veg stage and recently started using diluted h202 to water in general. I spray it on my plants leaves and through the soil. It's actually pretty spectacular. I read a few studies on plants and h202.. and a lot of plants produce it in their leaves as a result of "wounding". Here's a study on h202 in tomato plants http://acrbuynow.info/content/13/1/179.full ... if you're having any type of nutrient lockout or root rot, it'll do wonders. It's also a fantastic way to destroy bug infestations. And it won't damage your plant. If anything it improves your plants ability to take in nutrients, use the nutrients, and discard any toxins. You just have to make sure you're using the right stuff and dilute it properly. I dilute 4 teaspoons of 3% hydrogen peroxide into a quart of filtered water.

thats pretty dilute eh, what would that be half a drop of pure H2O2? Ill try it on one plant and see if it doesnt anything comparatively... any point in using it if your plants are in great health?

if its so effective at killing everything but the plant... wont it leave the soil void of beneficial micro-organisms? sounds like it shouldnt only be used in the watering of hydro plants becuase they have the organisms anyways and it helps oxygenate the roots(a claim I personally find questionable)

could still be a good foliar spray for soil though

It'll help oxygenate your reservoir, but most importantly, it'll kill off bacteria in your reservoir.

I never have or never will try and use H2O2 in soil but why exactly shouldn't I?
