Iran. The situation with Iran...what do YOU think we should do?

I am going to butt in here... It is tough for our government.

I think we should let them develop a nuke. I think we should continue to get sanctions placed against them.

But honestly, the USA needs to get its nose out of other countries business. Let the UN handle it.

Iran has as much right to defend its self as you's do... lets not forget... Its a bit much when the only country in history to have deployed such weapons complains about other countries trying to make them (While at the same time Arming every other not so friendly country, whome alot of, are neighbouring Iran)

We ARE the UN...try again.

Well, I think we should kick the UN out of America and let someone else host them for a while as well...

Seriously, let the UN solve it. Yes, I know they are simply incapable of that but you see... I dont think it is our problem. I think we need to get our noses out of other countries business.

Do you understand what sanctions mean???? Nothing in... Nothing out... People starve, No medicine etc etc

Iran hasn't had to defend itself, it has nothing to do with defending itself. Iran is dead-set on a quest of hegemony in the middle east, and they have utilized a number of dirty tactics to acheive it. They have meddled in the war with Iraq, resulting in American casualties, they have harbored Al-Qaeda from Afghanistan (more American casualties), they have been the capital source of Hezbollah terrorist activity, they have undermined peace in the region (because it undermines their own influence) and caused numerous lives to be lost... and you think they have to defend themselves? Maybe they should stop using proxies to attack people! Maybe they should be a cooperative nation, maybe they could join the rest of the civilized world if they wanted to have a seat at the table...

So...you don't have a reasonable answer that is based on fact and tangibles?

And NATO......

For good reason.

Listen... Im tired and stoned and really don't want to fall out with any one on here... I just think its duplitical to go on about Iran like you did above while selling guns and shit to so many other countries that do the same shit (pakistan, Lebanon, iraq, afganstan, egypt, yeman, sudan, somalia, jordan etc all have al Qaeda shit going on)

I have a very good friend ( Dianne) here in Ireland who is Iranian... She is such a beautiful person... funny, hard working, honest, inteligent, incredibly beautiful... Drinks & smokes and love's life more than any one i know... I know for a fact you would like her too... you cant not like her.... And this i why i get so pissed of on here when people talk about bombing the shit out of these countries... When i think of all the "Dianne's" that have died un neccesarly in Iraq / Afganistan... It makes me Sick... And for what??? A safer world???? C'mon...

We should not bomb these countries indiscriminately or invade their soil if at all possible. However the occasional and verified terrorist training camp or nuclear facility is fair game imo.

Do you understand what sanctions mean???? Nothing in... Nothing out... People starve, No medicine etc etc

Yes, people starve.

You see, I think we should stay out of it including our people. Now if the UN wants to embargo Iran for building a nuclear weapon well then let them. (Russia and China are still permanent members).

If enough people in Iran are starving because they cannot feed themselves and their government continues it's anti-world policies then maybe the people will rise up and replace that government.

You cannot say that a country is sovereign on one hand and then say they are not sovereign on the other.

@ the ruiner

My answer is to let them finish building a bomb.

Let the UN decide what to do while they are doing it and what to do if they use it.

Spending hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars preventing the inevitable seems stupid IMO. There will always be bad people in the world and the USA should not be the policeman for the world.

The truth of the matter is, many countries have nukes. Only one country has EVER used one on another country. The liklihood that any country would do so again is low, even for a country like Iran. NK has them, after all.
The bigger threat is a smaller device with weapon components or a dirty bomb.
