DWC Roots not growing & Plant yellowing

Can anyone help me solve this mystery? These plants are supposed to be 1 month old!!! Clearly very stunted. Roots simply will not grow down into reservoir. I'm adding 35% H2O2 and CO2 religiously. Reservoir looks and smells pristine.

p.s.- the first pic (with the black lines all over from my hps bulb) is meant to show the six relevant plants in the coleman cooler (with white top, to the right).

Do you ever hand water those to get some flow going in the root zone? I don't see any drip feed top lines. Do you have a spray system in that tote?

If you have them covered with foil and they're just sitting in that tote without making contact with the solution, there's your problem.

Yeah ever since I noticed the roots were weaksauce, I have been shooting the bottom of the net pots daily with turkey baster doses of nutrient solution.

If the plant is seeking water/nutrients, why on earth would they not moving towards the bubbles and be seeking the reservoir? Can a 420 Dr. House get on this sh** before I give up on DWC and move to something more standard?

are those roots brown?
your res should be full enough to where the bubbles wet the the bottom of the net pots when they burst open...

Try taking those foil covers off and turkey baste them at the base of the plants from above, not below. Don't give up, just give the core root zone flow from above that drips through the rocks and down the bottom. You gotta do this until the roots hit the bubbling water surface.

Your plants still look healthy. Just be patient and keep trying.

Edit:
Also, how much oxygen are you pumping into that res?

You could raise the res level then back off as the roots drop. Do you have a solid air pump and stone setup? Maybe too many nutes damaging roots also. Do you know your ph and EC/ppm?

The roots are brown and wet (but not slimy), definitely not white with strong branching.

I started basting them from the top.

pH is between 5.7-5.9. No idea what ppm is? The owner at my hydro store said that having excessively high ppm's should be obvious. These leafs don't look burnt.. they look yellow and brittle. You can tell in the attached pic, which shows a clipping from an identical healthy Romulan being grow in soil.

I agree it doesn't look burnt. Bring the res level up until it touches the bottom of the net pot. What nutes are you using? I have had certain nutes or additives discolor roots. I wouldn't rule out root disease/damage. Hard to tell over the Internet;)

Solid advice, man.

I wouldn't rule out disease, either. But if I had to roll the dice, I'd say they're pretty much okay just underfed due to small roots.

Edit:
Depending on what nute he's using, I might suggest he look into a good root accelerator of the same brand.

Good point lordjin! beneficials would be good also but not knowing the nutes or system they may not apply.

What are your reservoir temperatures like? It appears that your tote has a while lid and sitting under a 1kw, that think could suck up the heat. I either use dark plastic or i wrap mine in silver tape. If your water level is right, with a net pot that size, every time you lift it out of the tote, the whole thing should be positively dripping in water.
