Cleaning you bong.

You alright , ive got a acrylic bong from about 15 inch tall. What do u guys clean ur bong with ? I know you can do it with like 100% alcohol but i dont have any of that around the house.
-What can i leave it to soak in over night and wash out in the morning ? i was thinking something acidic e.g vinegar ....i also heard you can use salt water ?
Any help is appreciated.

If it's glass you can use ISO alcohol and salt and shake it around. Works great.

i want something from around the house i can use, ill be using it tomorrow and only just realised it could do with a clean. Last time i used it i was too baked and fell asleep. forgot to clean it

Salt / Rice & rubbing alcohol works best. Being that its acryllic I would just thing some super steamy water and some of those brushes. You need some form of abrasion to rub the stuff free. I would go ahead and use iso alcohol from the store. doesnt need to be 100% and some long grain rice. I doubt it cracks it. them acryllics are durable.

True story. Acrylic does not respond well to solvent-strength alcohol.

I did use aerosol oven cleaner to good effect. cn

noooooo i always use ice water + ice in my normal bong, with this home made thing i just grabbed a little bit of what ever drink i had around and put a bit in

You can actually use cooking oil. Takes longer than rubbing alcohol but its a solvent just like it. Cooking oil, a little water, and rock salt. Swirl/shake it like crazy, rinse, and then wash with dish soap to remove the oil residue.

other than products made for acryllic i don't know what to use. i can tell you that alcohol on an acrylic bong will turn it white and warp it. i haven't owned an acryllic bong since i was a kid for this reason. maybe oxy clean?

I have a 24" glass double perk, and the upper perculator (sp?) peice gets clogged all the time... I use Formula 420 but it never gets it completely clean. I've thought about just soaking the bong for a day, but I haven't tried it yet. Thoughts?

if it's glass alcohol all day. i use epsom salt as a scrubber, put my hand over the top and my finger in the slide hole, and shake that bitch up and down like a psycho so the salt and alcohol gets all in the neck and guts. then i turn it upside down and shake some more. the ashcatcher is what saved my life. now it's just residue i have to clean instead of ash and resin chunks. never tried this with a perc but it should still work decent. might not get that showroom clean but should take the clogs out.
