I have had my plant on the 12/12 cycle for almost 3 weeks, it showed sex BUT it is hella cold in my house until i get paid and can get a space heater for my bedroom.

My question is is there anyway i can go back to vegging with the lights on 18 hours so i can keep the plant warm or is it simply too late?

its not the best thing to do but it is possible but it might stress the plant and stunt growth

It's going to take quite a bit of time for you then turn it back around again. When you reveg like that the plant will start throwing out crazy leaves (single blades, like basil). The pistils that have shown will eventually shrivel and fall off, but then it takes a bit of time to then flip it back into a decent veg cycle. PErhaps just leave the light off for an extra 12 hours and just run the lights on at night and off during the day......

unless you are already doing that which renders my suggestion pointless, lol.

40s inside..mid 30s outside air temp..they are inside. i get paid next thursday i need to keep the plant alive till then when i can get a space heater.

40's is not good at all which I am sure you already know. Can you get a space heater and direct it at the tent? Or change your schedule to have the lights on at night and off during the day.

no i cant, not until next week. i could change the light cycle sure, but its only a high in the 40s this coming week so i dont see what diffrence it will make.

at least i got one to show sex this time, maybe one of these grows ill get one full term. im fucking depressed now.

i might have a solution now. i could put it in a box a bring it downstairs at nite and keep the heat at about 73 degrees ( the heat works fine downstairs )

Is it a problem if i put it in a box and cover it up so my cats dont get in it? or will it need all kinds of air flow and shit?

this is the only thing i can think of besides just letting it freeze to death.

it will still have to be in the cold from 730pm till about 1230am when i can sneek it safely.

Just leave hem be at this point. Put a heavy towel around the pot and base of the plant. Can't you borrow a heater from someone? Re-vegging would be an absolute last resort for me. Your buds may turn purple on the upside!!

thats kind of what i did last nite, i put the pot inside my winter hat (tuke).

Do i need to keep the pot/roots warm the most? can the actual plant handle the cold for another week?

The plant looks awesome, a few fan leaf tips are curling down but other than that its nice dark green, no discoloration spots or other visable abnormalities.

Hilo, a PC/Laptop, curling iron, or a hair dryer is not gonna generate enough heat to overcome the temps in an entire room. Maybe the hair dryer will raise them a couple of degrees, but not significantly. You WILL however, make your power meter spin like a frisbee!! The power consumption will kill ya!! Keep the roots as warm as you can, the plant should be OK for a little while.

i dont need to heat an entire room tho man, just a small cabinet. ive already tried it out, the temp went from 71 to 74 in a matter of minutes ( lights are on ).

It should do the trick to keep it into the mid 50s with the lights off i hope.

Anything above 40 and ill be happy. the cabinet was at 38 when the lights went on this morning, if i can get 7 degrees from the fucker ill be stoked.

I belive you that they will be ok but why not help out as much as i can right?

it will be ok mate, if it drops below about 8c then it will slow growth, it will die if it freezes though..

what about filling bottles up with hot water putting them around pot
the heat from kettle steam will do the job but also cause moister
