Yes, there are a lot of ignorant fucks but the Tea Party doesn't hold the patent on stupidity. I know quite a few Tea Party members and not one of them "thinks this way". Hank Jr. made an irresponsible statement and subsequently apologized for the statement. He didn't say who was supposed to be who so I'm not sure why Obama supporters are getting so bent out of shape about this. He definitely shouldn't have said it but I don't think he meant anything by it and I certainly can see what he was trying to say. It was simply a reference (albeit not a very smart one) to the unlikely pairing of the 2 of them playing golf. I fail to see why this is such a big deal.

Well, that I do agree with. None of them care about me, and they are ultimately all the same. But they are ostensibly supposed to be finding answers, so cooperation is required. At least the appearance of cooperation. Gridlock is often a good thing, but we have some fundamental differences that must be resolved if we are to survive economically.

I never said that. In fact, I don't think the TP resembles the GOP in any way really. GOPers can at least govern, they and dems have cooperated and compromised (more or less) for decades. Not the TP. If they don't get their way, they'll just as soon shut down the governnment, send the global economy into depression. Hell, I'm so fed up with the bullshit I might join them myself. I mean really. It's not like I have a job or the prospect of one any time soon. And I can see myself slowly sinking into being "taken care of" by the government and kept pretty much just slightly above poverty for the rest of my life until some idiot who doesn't even know me says: "You've lived long enough. We can't afford to keep you alive anymore". I grew up in the eighties and I don't remember times ever being this bad under Regan. Say what you will about him, but man the economy was doing great compared to what we have going on now. Why don't we try some of that again? I just don't understand. It really does feel like our own government is trying to bring us all down economically. I'm genuinely afraid of the future and I have NEVER felt that way before in my life.
