last light question...

someone said i should use lights with a color temp of 2,700k in an earlier thread. will someone please answer my question?

2700k is higher on the red spectrum which is best for flowering though currently I am vegging under the same color temp 2 plants under 1 42w 2700 lumen CFL 2700k. And they are doing fine but tomorrow I'm going to pick up the highest watt blue spectrum (up near 5000k) I can find to see if this will boost vegetative growth. If I see a difference (and im sure i will) Im going to be using 2 cool and 1 warm CFL until flowering time then I will be switching to 1 cool 2 warm though I might need more.

It all really depends on your growroom size and light utilization features if you want to go the CFL route.

If you are growing by raw lumens you will need to produce upwards of around 8000-10000 lumens per square foot in the right color spectrums to match the suns intensity.

is this for flowering and one plant or what cuz i been told that you shouldnt need anymore then 10000lumens for flowering.also sorry to steal your thread but can you have to much light for seedlings and smaller veg plants?

Only way this plant is gonna care about light is if its heat is burning the plant lol :) resiliant little bastards.
