I got a lumatek 1000 gonna be getting a dual 600 Lumatek as well, Awsome product I give it my highest recommendation.......

I think quatum is better, i have 1 and the thing is awsome...1 of my catch trys got a hole in it somehow and well needless to say my quatum got soaked with water for atleast 2-3hrs before i noticed and well the thing didnt miss a beat...My hydro store guy said he wouldnt EVER carry lumateks again he would get 10 and atleast 6 would be back in within 3 mths for dying..JMO..Quatum 600w dimmeable cant be beat IMO

+1 for quantums and the light tech at the biggest hydro store in the US told me the same thing about lumateks,he had boxes of them waiting for repair.In their defense ive heard they have fixed the problems but its hard to get over a bad rep.

true...it must have happen lately i got my ballast only 4mths ago when i was told this..But they may have fixed them...I wont lie i was also trying to decide between lumatek and quatum but it was a easy choice once the shop owner told me about the probs with lumatek...
