hello everyone, i REALLY want to try shrooms, now, i don't really know that much about them, so if anyone could please shed some knowledge my way it would be much appreciated :) (by the way, if anyone knows how to dry them or anything, could you please tell me :) ).
 
depending on where u live u can either pick them from the wild (only if u know what you're doing as the wrong ones can kill you) or order them fresh online (i think this is illegal in most places, certainly is in the UK now) or get some spores/a growing kit.

to dry them i laid them out and had a fan blowing over them till they were dry, can't remember how long it took to dry them that way, maybe about a week, possibly less? i like the texture of dried shrooms but it concentrates the bad taste (which isn't actually that bad imo). i always preferred eating them fresh dipped in some honey or by making a shroom-tea, i never got any nausea from them.

i can't remember the exact amounts i ate (was quite a while ago) but i think it was about an ounce fresh (which is like 1/8th dry) of the cubensis. i found tolerance built up really quick and had to up the doses for further trips.

i never found the trip to be overwhelming or disassociative. for me colours got bright and vivid and bent and moved around. most of the time i felt really perky and happy. had a warm-stoned like feeling. i found myself thinking very deeply and questioning the reasoning for everything. i also found my emotions became a bit fragile. one second i'd be listening to happy music and feeling on top of the world, next second some dark music or a dark situation and would feel bad (not suicidally bad or anything though), then some more good music and i was back on top. i also got quite chatty and found shrooms to be a surprisingly socialiable drug.

the trip lasts quite long (like 6-8 hours or something) so i wouldn't plan doing anything after taking these until you have a chance to sleep it off. the trip wears off really slowly (like the main effects will go but you'll still feel weird for 2 or 3 hours) and i found i'd normally not feel fully back to normal until either sleeping or smoking copious amounts of pot.

I dont use a dehydrator I built a desicant box to dry mine but they are home grown and the silly sibon can dpreciate in high or long periods of heat
 
yeah man, lucy sounds really interesting, but my rule with any sort of substance is no synthetics :P

Interesting :) no synthetics you say? What qualifies as synthetic? THC is made in a plant as well as in a lab. Really its all the same H C and O in different orders. Heroin comes from a plant but you wouldnt want to do that would you?

Synthetic vs natural is cool if its because its what you want to do but synthetic vs natural has no place regarding saftey or health effects. Then you must look to the scientific data regarding that particular substance.

In this case LSD25 is one of the safest most awesomest bestesarific chemicals known to man:D

Well you're all being dumbasses. LSD isn't synthetic. Fentanyl is synthetic. At the furthest stretch, it's what's known as Semi-Synthetic. It still looks very much like its natural derivative.
 
There we go some sanity.

I imagine synthetic as something that comes completely from man made materials. Where as most of these so called 'synthetics' have a very direct link to the natural counter parts. Even with semi-synthetic we know there is a dividing line, but you wouldn't get pure DMT in nature so is it natural or synthetic? Still its natural. MDMA? Semi. LSD? Semi. Heroin? Semi. LSA? Natural. GHB? natural/synthetic.

its mainly out of blatant choice, but ive just never really liked all the powdery needly things out there, also my parents were junkies, so that kind of scared me off any needles/synthetic stuff.

And by synthetic, i mean coke etc etc . . .
 
but i guess i can be a tad narrow minded at times, but mostly im just happy with pot and mushies :)

The guy is right.

And what the hell is sythetic anyway? Why is something that a man made, like all the plastic around your house, like that 1000 watt hps bulb you use, so horrible?

Coke is natural, morphine is natural, and so are dozens of substances that will kill you dead in a few seconds if you injest them. There is no guarantee that if it is natural it is safe.
 
synthetic... semi-synthetic..... not synthetic... = irrelevant to anything other than nonsensical debate. (in my humble opinion, of course)
 
my definition of synthetic is just not naturally occurring, i mean, you wouldn't find a bit of coke or lsd under a bush somewhere in the desert naturally made.

You wouldn't find them there because that's not their natural habitat. LOL You'd find a shit ton of Coke in a rainforest.
