i have done a lot of research recently on what kinds of house hold items contain nutrients needed in growing i was wondering if anyone has use any of them before or herd of them they are as follows

coffee grounds - contain nitrogen witch is good for veg

banana peels, crab and shrimp shells - contain phosphorus

orange and prune juice - very rich in potassium 500mg to 700mg a cup

sunflower seeds - thiamine / vitamin b1

chalk - calcium

magnesium - epsom salt

iron / zinc - galvanized nails (the coating is made mostly zinc and the nail iron)

manganese - pinapple

in my findings i also came across many people who have tried flavoring there bud with juce or kool aid and had no results but people who used sugar, honey, or molasses seen denser buds and a larger yield any comments?

Coffee grounds make an excellent soil conditioner but if overused can turn soil acidic.
During mango season i keep all skins ,seeds and put them in a plastic barrel full of water. This causes them to ferment.I dilute this solution 50/50 with water and feed the girls with it during the flowering period. The result is fat , sticky, stinky buds that smell and taste like MANGO.
Even the weakest of strains chunk up with this juice.I have also replicated this result with bananas .Although they don't smell exactly like bannanas sure do taste like them.
Am currently making a pineapple brew so fingers crossed.

thanks for the feed back any comments on the rest of the post?

I collect iron filings from a local workshop and scatter them around my citrus trees with great success, have never tried it on the herb though . A friend of mine swears by watering seedlings with CocaCola , it definitely does something but Its just to kooky for even me to try, hahaha.Maybe its the sugar content or something.
My favourite, Epsom salts , is there anything that stuff can't be used for?
oh BTW if you can't get mangoes or they aren't in season Golden Circle Mango Puree, the one in the 1 litre can, works just as well
