Just a update for the papaya in my pc grow box. Every thing is well starting to see a few more pistols on nodes and also on bud sites!! Already seeing a few crystals on my leaves lol. Hey guys just another update for ya!! Any ways i am really getting close to running out of room. The big girl is getting extremely close to the HPS. Although i have not notice any sings of burning. The only thing i notice is very vigorous growth. Any ways on Saturday i am going to move the HPS to the other side of the box. I am also going to be hanging 8 CFLs at the top of the other side for the big girl. As for the smaller girl she is still maturing. I did see that she is a female about 5 days ago. But the one pistol i could see then is still the only white pistol i can see now. Any ways here are the pics. If you guys have any ideas about me running out of room i am all ears

Ahhh, this is tough. I had a feeling that blackjack would be a stretcher. The only thing I can suggest is to try tying her down a little if you have the lateral space to do so. It looks to me like you may have enough room there...hard to tell for sure from the pics.

Yeah man you hit the nail on the head bro. The girls have stretched to insane heights. Kinda sucks but it is going to be a good yield by the looks of it already. Anyways I have about 8in to work with. About 5 of the 8 is the HPS. My plan is to move the HPS to the other side while Putting 8 cfls at the top of the big girl. This will give me about 5 more inches I think and I will have 200w on the on big girl. What is your estimate on how much bigger she is going to get?

I have not considered super cropping. Now that you say that it will be something I will look into immediately. I just have never understood it really. I know you kink the branches that have bud sites on them. But is it only for making my plant smaller. Or is there more behind the supper cropping idea?

Well, this is the first grow of blackjack that I've watched, so I'm learning from you. According to this site (http://en.seedfinder.eu/strain-info/BlackJack/Sativa_Seedbank/), based on two user reports, "Stretch after the initiation of flowering: ~203 Percent. Initiation of flowering onto around 45 cm (18 in) - Final Height onto around 135 cm (53 in)."

Not sure what kind of wattage they were using. You're only about two weeks into 12/12, so it sounds like you have the more sativa-dom (stretchy) phenos. If I had to guess, I'd say the worst of the stretch is probably over...but it might be wise to have a plan in case they grow more than five inches in the next few weeks. I think ordinarily you shouldn't expect to see any more stretching past the four-week point.

If you have the space, I would favor tying her down a bit. I try to avoid topping during 12/12...but it might be worth an experiment with one of your girls just to see how it works out.

All part of the fun of growing your own! Making those executive decisions...

Well this is my first grow using blackjack from nirvana. I didn't top any of the ones I have going. The thing I would say is if you are in limited head room situation I would recommend LST or topping for sure. These plant stretch alot when switched to flower. Good luck with you grow. To tell you the truth man i am not even sure. I didnt really care about 5 bux or what not. I paid i think 87.00usd for 5 fem blackjack and 5 fem papaya. Glad to have you on board.

Hey guys just another update for you. I think i might have everything under control here in the big box. What I ended up doing was just putting 1 power strip at the top of the box and then but 4 26w cfls in there. Stretching has seemed to slow down a bit and bud production is starting to come a bit more on the big girl. For the smaller one i dont know how much bigger she is going to get. She is not showing to many pistols still but is starting to show more day by day. So she might have a decent amount of stretch along the way. But we will just have to wait and see. They look very healthy and green!! Other than the droopy leaves on the sides from the vinyl door i have that ends up rubbing against them. Any ways you guys tell me what you think.

Just another update for the papaya i have going in the pc grow case. For those of us that are just joining this thread this plant has always only been under 104w of cfls. 6500k for veg and 2700k for flower its been in flower for about two weeks and is starting to show more and more pistols. This plant is so small and compact it is really a fun grow all the way around. Any ways she is healthy as fuck. Any ?s or comments always appreciated. STAY HIGH

Yeah man. They sure did grow fast as fuck when I switched them over but it think I might be alright stretching has subsided just a bit. And yeah the papaya is looking dank as fuck. Any ways I'll tell the girls you said hi!! Stay tuned bro and stay high

Well only 100 watts on the small papaya. The two big ones in the other box are using 250w 150 of it being HPS. Thanks for stopping by rep +

Just figured i would shoot you guys with a quick update nothing special. Starting to see alot more bud production on the big girl. And starting to see alot more pistols on the small girl. They have both stopped on their gay ass stretching spurts. Well any ways didnt get a chance to take some pictures of the papaya but i will tomorrow. Also connected the two doors of my cab and made them one so it swings open only one way. It is much easier to light proof this way. Well any ways here are the pictures. Already seeing trichs on the big girl!!!!
