sog grow help....omg...idk if i have room for all this...come inside!

i thought id go sog this round as ive never done it but its always appealed to me...

well lets say i have a huge stock pile of seeds (235 or so)...grow bags...and 2 600w HID lights...

could 25 plants in 1 gallon bags per each hid light be enough or too many/too few plants?

heres my thoughts but i wanna see what you all think...


2 600w hid lights...about 7-12inches apart from each other (side by side)...50 1 gallon grow bags...and 50 beans (obviously).

think theres enough room? to cram all those bags in there (just to see what it'll look like) i noticed they fit with a max of 6in distance from each other.

i wanted to grow a variety of strains so i plan on growing: white widow (seedsman), bubblegummer (female seeds), big band + white domina (kannabia), orange bud (ceres), master kush (DP), unknown c99 hybrid (female seeds), various bagseed i have saved over time from good smoke, etc.

too many or too little plants?

I have adapted his technique to suit my needs.
I use 4 600W HPS lamps over 4 4' x 4' growing trays. I can fit over 25 plants in each tray quite comfortably, and my 600Ws can easily light up this sized area (5687 lumens/square foot). I grow 100% white widows.

ill be heading there right after this post. thanks for the tip.

awesome. im going to be using 2 600s (1hps/1mh) and ill be switching my lights back and forth between each side(both systems take both mh and hps) for better light spectrum.

going into this im starting to feel in over head as i dont even have all the bags filled and it already looks intimidating with just 40 of them under there lol.

so in this sog grow i shouldnt care that the plants will be really close/touching? all my previous grows (i think im on grow number 5 now) have been long veg times packed with supercrop, lst, etc. and i had to keep them spaced to combat mold/budrot.

so i ask...should i have the bags touching each other?

and do you suggest going 12/12 from the start or doing a veg cycle (18-24hrs of light) for the first week or two?
