ALL MALES. Look like 10 weeks down the drain, check the pics and confirm. =(

Update: 4 were for sure males and got chopped. The last one left is probably female...giving it a few days to show more hairs to make sure. Could be worse I guess...not by much though. =)
 
I am sorry to read about your terrible luck, the positive aspect is the law of averages will even things out soon. 2 cycles ago I had 5 out of 7 males and last cycle I was 6 or 7 female. I hope your girl turns out to be the best grow of your life to make up for the shitty ratio.

Thanks! I sure hope so, although I may go with some feminized seeds next time to avoid the hassle. =)

I have 2.5 clones off of it that I took 1 week before flowering. So they are about 2 weeks old and looking good. (Except for the .5 one..it's like half dead and may or may not live lol.)

Not until you find beans. I got these ones chopped way before any of them had a chance to pop their load. =)
 
Hahahaha about the .5 clone im having issues with cloning myself as well. This is my firts full grow I will be able to accomplish my 1st grow was a failure coco grow didnt know what I was doing there. 2nd grow 1male 1female and had to chop my female early due to certain circumstances.
 
This is only heresay, but from reliable sources. You can increase your male to female ratio with a few things - 6" or deeper pots, A lil extra potasium, and 18/6 light cycle instead of 24. Must say, I do this, and usually quite lucky, my best so far was 17/20.
Makes sense in a way.. females need alot more energy than males.
And when i was in africa, and saw wild patches of weeed, there were definatly more females in the deeper, better soil.
 
2 weeks and your not positive? Let them keep going, males would have shown before 2 weeks. I was the same way, I was positive I had a male. But I was so very wrong. Keep your fingers crossed. I can't imagine you would get 10 out of 10 males.
 
Ok final update, the 5th and final plant is definitely a hermie. So the grand total was 4 males, 1 hermie. I'm gonna keep the hermie going just to see if it pollinates itself for shits and giggles.

I had them on 18/6 all though veg, kept temps. right around 70-75 and had them in 3 gallon pots. So I was doing everything I could to try and get females...guess it just wasn't my turn yet. Hopefully next round will be better. I think I'll spring for some fem seeds. =)
 
So I'm sure somebody will bite my head off for saying this, but I know a few breeders have told me this in the past: A lot of times, a hermie is just a result of a female that has undergone some sort of stress. In essence, there is a genetic defense mechanism in the plant when it senses something wrong with it's environment and causes it to throw out some male flowers. Essentially what you could have is a female pollinating itself, which gives you femenized seeds. In all all likelihood you'll get 100% girls from the seeds of your hermie, but it is genetically predisposed with this defense mechanism in the event that something goes wrong with a future grow. I've had a few normally stable outdoor strains herm out in the past when grown indoors for seemingly no reason, so who knows why it did it eh? I bet it's not used to the environment

I see your last post was a month ago, did you get any seeds off it???? I'd like to see how the next generation grows. Also, your bud's potency shouldn't be hurt by having seeds in it, so there's not much to fear if you're just growing for personal use. Every time I do a seed grow I haven't noticed a real difference.
 
I have about 1 week to go on it or so, trichs are looking cloudy, but no amber yet. I firmly believe that this is indeed a female that stressed. She only put out one round of sacks right at the very start and then nothing, all bud after that. (I have no clue if this is the norm or if I just got lucky.) They are super stacked with seeds, I figure I'll get about 4-500 viable seeds off it. I checked a lower one 1 week ago and it had mostly all gtg seeds in it already, all stripey and hard.

When I finish this I think I will post a journal from start to finish with a final seed count. I've done a few other DIY projects too lately I haven't posted yet. I made a self contained light proof veg box complete with light traps, fans, etc. plus a 250w HPS lamp from scratch! I also rebuilt my main 400w HPS, IE where the parts for the 250w came from LOL. I think I'll just include those in the journal. I also built a decent reflector hood too. =)
