Root browning?

i have 2 plants in growing in a homemade aero system.
im using AN nutes at about 1/4 strenth and the plants are both 25 days old
one of the plants seems to be fine.

and the roots look ok except for some light browing from 2 weeks ago when i had issues with lights hitting the roots in the res but the roots look pretty good now.

but the other plant is having issuse again,
it look fine from above except it isnt growing much anymore

but the roots are brown and horrible looking

any one have a clue whats wrong, idk what i should do..

I hope we get some more experienced people to answer, because I am starting to have a similar problem with the roots of one plant. So, I bought another air pump and air stone today. Too early to say if that fixed my problem, but that might be be a possible answer to your problem The only other thing I noticed in your case is that at 25 days, I think you should probably have your plants using full strength nutes or close to it. You may want to jump to 1/2 strength next feeding and full strength after that if you don't have any problems. But I'd like to hear from some more experienced growers...

well the plants have been looking great and have not been showing any signs of deficency, next res change i will probably up the strenth
