I have seen on videos that it is said the mites will leave the buds as it dries.
The no longer like it there and are leaving. Put bug tape on the ends of your hanging strings and catch them in the retreat.

Don't dip your buds in alcohol!!!! alcohol is a solvent of THC. The mites will leave the bud on their own accord as it dries.

You could also read up on water curing. It will drown the little bastards but your buds won't have the "bag appeal" that air dried ones do. But it is possible not all the mites will be washed out by the water so you will be smoking dried mites after you dry after the water cure.

i said to dip the stems, not the buds....lol just where the mites are for a quick kill. i agree probably not the best idea... i wouldnt recommend water curing either, tried it and wasnt that good. i will give another try on a smaller scale next round.

When you're done with your drying, you'll probably not see any mites. I've had a couple of mite problems, and they've always disappeared by the time the buds make it to the jars. If you really go looking for it, you may find 1 or 2 that stick around, but almost all of them will be gone by the time your buds are dry

ya just want to kill em also...this way they dont find there way back to the next crop.

When you're done, disinfect the room and just fog the room with the new batch in there to kill em all.
Something else you could do is wait till it's all dried, then put a fan on low or medium and hold the branches up one by one to blow the mites off it. Just don't have the fan on too strong. Something stronger than a gentle breeze

Your going to want to bomb the room and clean the whole room sucks but I haven't had mites sine I use neem to keep them away

I've been dealing with spider mites for the last few months.
I plan to bomb once my last plants finish up, plus i've got animals
and cannot bomb until november when i go on vacation.
For the time being, i'm trying to keep them at bay using Azamax, Neem, and Organicide.
They've gotten pretty bad, so bad you can see webs and mites around a few of the bigger
buds.
What i've been doing since I started to harvest the mite ridden plants is as i cut and trim the
buds, i've been submerging the entire bud in water for 3 to 4 hours. I'd much rather kill as many
living bugs as possible, and not give them a chance to leave the plants and find either my veg or flower rooms.
I've never been a fan of water curing and the 3 to 4 hour soak is nothing more than an attempt to
kill bugs. That short of a soak doesn't leave the buds with that water cured look, nor has the weight of the buds
been affected. For all intents, they looked as if air dried.
I've not seen a single mite survive and leave a bud after it's been soaked. Nor have i seen any mites, alive or dead
in or on buds in curing jars, some of which have been curing for over a month.

Interesting soaking buds for a few hours...What other differences have you noticed from a typical air dry?

Other than the buds being ready to start curing a day sooner i haven't noticed any difference.
Weight, look, smell, taste, all seem unaffected by the short 3-4 hour soak in water.
