tieing down your plant?

so my plant is about 4 1/2- 5 feet and i thought if i used some hemp twine to tie down the big bushy branches it wouldn't hurt the big bushy branches and would help to bud the main stock and king bud any experienced growers think that this is a half decent idea? ps it is on a really steep hill like you pretty much have to climb this hill not walk up it and it gets sun from exactly when the sun pops up over the fartherst it hits my plant and so it really only got bushy on that one side so moving those branches out of the way but not completely would allow the sun to reach the other parts of the plant too

plants bend well when done over time, bend the plant as far as you can without getting yourself too worried about snapping the branch and tie it. i personally do it in the morning so they have the whole day to soak up the sun and recover and adjust to the stress. you can keep bending the branches as far as you need o move em over time

I lst'd a plant 2days ago but since she is in the ground and not very tall, id say a foot tall beefy thick stem, i tied her top cola to a heavy rock and i leaned her to 1side to get her bottom growth exposed to some sun. i leaned her to the side pretty good but yesterday round noon her top cola growth was facing straight up reaching for the sun.

give it a go, plants adjust fine to it.

I always tie mine down. Every branch then makes like the main cola - I just tie one end of some twine to the top of the plant, the other to a lump of concrete. I have found they are perfectly happy if I just pull them down in one movement.

This lady is an example - you can just see the twine bottom right.

i always tie my plants down horizontally tho the idea is to get the plant to produce more crown colas. as per twine i think your better off with softer fabric based ties as you could damage the plant if you tie it down too severly. i know a guy who throws old branches onto his plants and you should have seen all the heads that popped up. shows you how vigorous a plant mj is i mean its a weed after all.. :P other people i know top the plant then throw mesh over it so it has to do the same thing. start off tying her over and i guarantee you'll love the results

Yeah, we've been growing 'horizontal' all year so the neighbours don't notice. Hopefully nobody around here knows what fresh weed smells like... doubt it though. :weed:

I think you can LST up to the middle of flowering, after that, the female plants more focused on bud production rather than growing taller

2-3 zips?? NAW DUDE, that baby's growing outdoors in what looks like some beautiful sunlight! And if she's 3x3x3 with 25 colas, then shit! She'll probably yield a QP or more, ideally :)

Just what I was looking for, now I don't have to start a new thread. I was wondering about tying down this late into flowering too. Mine is more of a stealth issue really. It's pushing 7' and just tied it down a little to make it less visible. It shouldn't hurt any then? I'm at least a month into flowering.

You'll probably be fine, just make sure to be gentile and use TLC :)

really you shouldnt use like hemp twine?
weedstock it might work for you but i find the softer fabric type is a bit more forgiving and flexible costs a bit more (should be available at any nursery) but wont chaff at the stem of your plant no matter how tight you tie it. ive used the string off hay bales before but will use the fabric type from now on
