Blantons. If you're from KY, and who knows I might be, they know their bourbon down there and hell yes on some single barrel aged sweetness. Woodford Reserve also rocks ... hard.

best i ever had was 15yr single barrel from a private family distillery in scottland.
it tasted like nothing i can describe... except to say that to me it tasted like 1500 years of history.
you could tell that the barrel had been charred using burning pete, you could taste it.
it made me hate Jack Daniels even more than i already did.
when i'm at home i drink Jameson's over the rocks once in awhile.
not a big drinker.

I prefer Uisge. The CORRECT spelling, not the sassanach Queens fook'in English mispelling. Usige Beatha or somesuch, the Water of Life.

Laphroig, Balvenie, Sheep Dip, or Glenfiddich. ANYthing but blended kiddy stuff like J&B, Cutty Sark, Johnnie etc. Unless of course I am mixing a Rusty Nail, but I prefer GlenFiddich for that.

Well, I'm gonna be picky here and say OP those aren't straight whisky's per say, they are Kentucky Bourbon Whisky's, there is a pretty big difference. Especially in flavour. I personally don't like bourbon that much, too sweet, and I drank way to much bourbon and coke when I was a younger lad, the stuff grosses me out now-a-days. Too many nights vomiting after drinking so much sugar hahaha. Sorry for being so picky, just I hate Bourbon, but LOVE whisky!!! MMMMMmmmmmmmMMMMMMmmm

Anything single malt, there are too many brands to name, but I am a big fan of single malt. Anything blended is ok, as long as it's high up there on the quality chart.

Single malt scotch's: Glenfiddich, Highland Park, Millburn
Blended Scotch: Black & White, The Famous Grouse, White Horse, Grants.

Too many to list em all, but yeah, I love Whisky, nice thread OP. I also love Vodka, and Gin..............white rum is nice aswell!!

Whiskey?

American - Makers Mark or Jack Daniels

I'm very partial to Red Breast but my real loves are Single Malts (Glenmorangie) and Usquebaugh.

Im all about the Wild Turkey 101, or some cheap-ass McNaughton Canadian blended whiskey.
Don't underestimate the McNaughton, it's smooth as hell and I love it.

I'm not too sure, but you guys must have specialist bottle stores over there right?? Or distributors?? I guess the only thing is, if you want some Single Malt Scotch or anything similar, you gonna pay a lot. But yeah dude, the world of Whisky is so awsome, and there is some seriously tasty stuff out there, high quality bourbon is good aswell, pure, or on the rocks.

You must have Jonnie Walker over there right?? Get yourself some Green Label or Blue Label, they are blended malt Whiskies but freakin tasty to say the least, dunno how much you would have to fork out though, the prices vary a lot between countries!!
