PICS: Brutally Honest Opinion: Should I trash my this first attempt and move on?

It's my first grow. I didnt know that CFLs and Floros should be RIGHT ON TOP of the plants, I kept them 3-4 inches as most websites recommended. I don't have enough space in my house for two grows. Should I trash this first grow, and smoke the one joint worth of weed I've got, and start planning my second, where I'll actually have a yield worth having? Or does this look like it'll eventually amount to anything? They vegged for ~3 weeks, and are on their 2 1/2 week of flowering.

I'm using the right color bulbs (6500k for veg, 2700k for flower), and I'm smart enough not to over-water. Next time, I'll transplant them out of their party cups into something respectable, instead of keeping them limited.

What do you think?

Hi - Why don't you start up some more plants, so they can come in there, when these are done - they won't give you too much bud thos you have there.

well for one thing your plants are never gonna get big and have nice budds in those small cups. mabe not never im pritty shure an expert with expiriance can pull it of. I think you would be better of with one or two plants with bigger potts. Point all the lights on the plants and try to vegg it a lil bit longer as for those id probably just start some new seeds and when there ready id evict those dam party cup plants to the yard or just harvest them its worth at least the practice... dont throw them away tho

also do your lights have cones around them i found this is better than just dangling a naked cfl on top of the plant it focuses the light and your plant will thank you

Wonder if its possible to switch the lights back to 6500k, the timer to 24/0, and see if they'll go back into vegetation?

Put your next plants in bigger pots. Keep them on an 18/6 cycle longer than three weeks. Get some good soil and a good nute program. If your gonna use cfls get a few, more lights = bigger buds. Learn as much as you can here and any where else you can. That's what I did after making a few mistakes and getting shitty results. I'm no expert, but I got a couple really good grows under my belt, I got pics in my photo album). If you want quick grows with decent yields, I'm starting to really like autos. They take about 2/3 months from seed to harvest. Best wishes in your future grows, hope all goes green

If it was me I'd get some one gallon pots and replant. Starting some new stuff on 12/12 ain't bad idea too.

Hey Iron,
I can only say what I might do, because It's a tough decision. Move Lights to one and a half inches. Get as many lights, and proper lights. Run fans. You may want to read more about all that. It might be worth the learning experience to rescue them.
They are fairly stretched and unless they are fast finishers you got a long way to go.
Bump me back. I'm not experience myself, truthfully.

It's shitty but that's the way I learned what not to do also. Take what you have learned and put it to use, this time in some much bigger pots. They look very healthy besides being small and stretched though.

I decided to transplant the two favorites into larger pots. They will have at least four times more space, if not six times more space for the roots to spread out. I'll continue them on 12/12 under the 2700k's, and put florescents closer. Who knows... You're right, I should use this as a learning experience.

Ouch!! I'd start all over from scratch again.

They need some nutes if you havent given them any. A little more info please Water type, nutes used and when etc Let them finish so you can get your first grow over. Then you'll build more knowledge about flowering, drying, curing. Then 2nd grow you'll get everything down ;] Don't restart

Don't trash them, theres no reason to.

Throwing away good pot because the nugs are "small" is the stupidest fucking thing ive ever heard.

I gurantee half the people in these forums didnt even have a harvest their first run. Or even their 2nd or 3rd.

So what if you might only yield a few bowl packs, thats more than what most first timers do. Its a learning experience, finish what you started and take your new knowledge into your next grow.

You wouldnt drive a ferrari without learning how to drive stick first.

just let your plants finish and for your next grow you will be better prepared
if you want a bigger yield, your main thing is to ditch those party cups lol
but hey imma give you rep just for getting this far and plus i think its cool seing small plants like that budding haha
