Thanks for all your comments. Definitely appreciate you stopping by and I'm glad you like it. Everyday they are looking better and better. I can't wait until they are ready. Today starts week 8 of 12/12, so they are getting close, time-wise.

Is there something you'd like some advice on specifically? If you want to pick my brain about my setup, go ahead and start asking away. It is my first hydro setup after all, so we can learn together.
I have a few questions do you think this is a good ventilation kit GrowBright 6" Inline Fan & Charcoal Filter Combo http://htgsupply.com/viewproduct.asp?productID=52609 i want to run my Ventilation threw light so would it be good to run Charcoal Filter first then Light then Inline Fan??????? What would be best way to run for this setup the way u described? filter -> fan -> hood -> out

Yeah, that's good stuff. Its what I run, just different brands.

Either way you are thinking about running it is fine. There is really not much of a difference in efficiency whether you are pulling or pushing air through the hood.

They both sound like really solid setups to me. Is there a price difference at all? That would probably be my basis for making a decision between the two.

SuperSunII reflector is IMO one of the best aircooled reflectors. If space is a concern then the cool tubes would be a better option. Remember that its easier for a Inline to pull air from the scrubber, then to push it through the scrubber. Can put a little more wear and tear on your fan if theres allot of resistance in the air that its pushing.

Yeah, but not soon enough. The last few weeks are really brutal, especially for someone as impatient as me. The buds seem to have stopped growing but they aren't ripe yet. Now I can understand why 9 out of 10 people on this site harvest way too early.

Week 10 starts tomorrow for the LA woman and trainwreck. I've been pretty unimpressed with the bud formation and development of the LA woman. The buds smell absolutely amazing and the sample I took weeks ago tasted great but I'm not impressed with the bud size and resin production. The TW should easily make up for the LA woman's shortcomings with its enormous buds and rediculously sticky buds. The smell isn't as intense or sweet, but it should make some super potent bud. I'm expecting the TW to at least go into week 11 but the LA woman should be done at the end of this week. Everything else in the tent is flourishing, just can't wait them all to be done and smokeable.

I'll try to get some pics today when I adjust the reservoirs.

Nice! Yea I originally was thinking 8 or 9 weeks now I'm realizing to do it right will probably be 10 weeks of flowering. I've got 4 different strains though so I guess we'll see on each one. You should definitely take a bunch of pictures when you harvest and post them as a reference for harvesting at the RIGHT time. My TW is budding up NICELY too. It's kind of settled down as far as size too, maybe that's the White Widow side of things. The buds smell amazing though, significantly less frosty than the JF are though so far.

I'll be back after the Nugs game tonight for those pics. 730 tipoff, game 4!

SSLW Feel ya on the early harvest BS. I read somewhere that you wanna watch for the pistols pulling back into the bud areas. Doesnt it seem like forever for the plants to start pouring the crystals on.

I'll be photo-documenting the harvest but its still a ways off. Here's the pics and you guys tell me what you think. I wish I could move the TW out of the HID and into different lighting but here's what I've got for bud shots:

LA Woman Day 63 - still some white pistils coming out, brown pistils need to recede further before harvest:

Big clump of LA woman buds:

Kings Kush ~6 weeks, super frosty and smells just like grape skittles...yum:

More Kings Kush bud:

Trainwreck bud Day 64, no amber trichs yet but the buds have swelled wonderfully:

Check out the tower like calyx formation that is a characteristic of the strain:

This one looks almost done, fucking frosty:

White widow starting 6 weeks today:

The trainwreck tree:

Im very interested in doing a DWC setup also in a tent. The only thing that really bothers me is how much work it would be to change the res especially when your plants are really big. How often do you change your water? exactley how do you do it? muscle a heavy load of water in a weak tote to the bathroom? hose? how do you balance your nutes and ppm so that they are consistently stable whenever you change your water? thanks for posting your journal, it was great to follow and learn :D

Thats what Im talkin bout bro!!! Fuckin awesome! Yeah you got that camera thing dialed in. Such an incredible job. Your hard work and patience is gonna make you a high ass grower! They all look so scrumptious.
Im in love with that Kings Kush! Where’d u get the genetics for that? Shit looks like its gonna have some serious bag appeal. The first KK pic looks all super amber and ready to go, not so much on the 2nd pic though. Grape Skittles!!! Schaweet, has it got some purp in it lineage? Really interested to find out where to get the same genetics as your KK.

Thanks for stopping by and welcome. You have very valid questions that I wish I would have asked before designing my setup. As it is setup right now, it is a pain in the ass to change the res of the large tubs because I can't move the plants. I used to be able to remove the tote cover and use 5 gallon buckets to carry the water from the tote to the bath tub but I have to use a pump now. It is absolutely impossible to carry a full tote to empty it, so you have to use a pump or buckets. Or you could elevate it and put a drain spigot on the bottom for easy changes, but you will lose some vertical space.

As far as keeping track of the nutes, I change the res on the buckets every week and top off the water in between. I keep track of all the nutrient concentrations on an excel spreadsheet so I can track changes and adjust accordingly. A lot of DWC is a guessing game with the nutes since you don't know what is in the res as soon as the plant starts uptaking nutrients, so just remain consistent in the proportions you use when making adjustments to the reservoir between water changes. Not sure if this makes any sense but I'll try and explain it better if you need me to.

I learned a lot from this grow on space management and I am going to do things very differently next time. Firstly, I want to stay legal, so I am going to lower my plant count substantially. Then, I am going to go with smaller elevated reservoirs with drains, 1 plant in each, 3-4 plants in the tent total. I am going to setup a SCROG setup to keep the height consistent and maximize the yield off only a few plants. I am confident I can yield as much, if not more, using this method than the untrained method I'm using now. And it should be much easier to change out reservoirs and top off nutrient levels.

Ha what you can't drag that little thing out?

Haha, I could after draining it but all the weak ass plants that can't support their own weight will fall right on over. The wall is the only thing keeping them erect. I've already had to cut at least 1/2 of popcorn, undeveloped buds on the bottom that fell over and snapped the stem. Next go around, there will definitely be some training going on.

Thanks man, glad you like. If only you could pop your head into the tent and take a whiff of the dankness. It almost knocks me over.

I've got mixed feelings about the Kings Kush. It is from Greenhouse seeds, ordered it from the attitude, a cross of grape ape and og kush. A winning combination in my book but I don't feel like the genetics are very strong/stable. I germinated 4 seeds, 2 never made it out of veg, 1 died of overnute, and this one has been a little runt compared to all the other strains going. I will be lucky to pull an oz off that plant but it should be dank as fuck. I've got one more seed left for next time but I am not going to waste my time if the smoke isn't dankalicious.

They all look pretty close to being done but the trics are still all clear/cloudy on all the buds. The Kings Kush is starting to turn but its only 6 weeks in and has too many pistils still out for me to think about harvesting her.

Here's a link to the KK: http://www.cannabis-seeds-bank.co.uk/greenhouse-seeds/greenhouse-seeds-feminized/green-house-seeds-kings-kush-feminized/prod_652.html She looks really purple in those pictures, mine looks nothing like that one.

Thanks bro gonna go peep it out.

Hmm them KKs are pretty cheap for some femmd beaners. Looking forward to seeing how that one turns out. She sure looks like she got some telephatically motivated resins formin. Pbbt bakered again!

I'll take that 1 seed off your hands if you decide not to grow it. Or you could throw it outside and see what it does
