Looking Good MT!
My tomatoes are just now showing fruit. As our my peppers! My VIP should be ready in 3 weeks+. So, I could possibly have a triple harvest! I'll get some picks up tomorrow. Where did you get the Trinity from? I've heard good things, but I don't know much about it. Sativa dom.?

|Things are going well except for these black spots forming on the bottoms of my toms. I have not been able to find info on it yet, I'm not overfeeding, I don't think and that was my first suspicion. Other than that both toms are flourishing. the one is still a lot smaller but is only a few days behind in development. |The big one is in 12-12 because of space now while the smaller will continue 20-4 lighting.

yes, was reading a book in the grow shop. Blossom end rot - From irregular waterings - Calcium deficiency. that's what I got from the tomato book anyways. I have been not as careful with the toms as with the MJ so no bud end rot with them. will step my game up with watching the toms and look for a cheap Ca def. fix.

bone meal get it from pet stores or garden centers

It may help tomato plants prevent blossom end rot. However, blossom end rot can happen even though sufficient calcium is present if watering is irregular. High phosphorus fertilizers are also useful for transplant root growth.

I'm thinking i was letting them get too dry in between h2o. wondering if those tomatos should be cut off immediatly or if this is a problem that can be corrected. thanks

Hit the nail on the head. Its end rot. I dont think its as much as under watering as it is "wet feet" so to speak. Tomatoes, like our other favorite plants, do not like to sit in water. Peppers are like this to but not as hyper sensitive to it. If blooms are falling off Peppers, or tomatoes this is most likely the cause. There sitting in stale stagnant water. Couple things you can do to remedy this. One, remove the black bottom tomatoes there no good to you now. Two, get some Potassium nitrate to add some oxidation to those roots. make sure that you are monitoring your watering regiment closely till you see improvement and the blooms stop falling off.

I ran into this problem with the indoor Jalapeño plants i was growing. had hundreds of blooms per plant but i had a little problem with drainage, once i figured this out i corrected the issue with the above as well as giving the pot better drainage.

oh yeah one more thing i thought that i would share. If you are doing indoor peppers, and you are going to do them indoor all the way through harvest they are going to need some help. When in their natural environment pepper plants have all kinds of sources to help them pollinate and make peppers. Wind, bugs, bees, and other factors to carry the pollen from one plant to the other. If indoors they only have one factor, your fan system. this may not be enough to get a good yield from them. So what i mean by helping them is to assist in the pollination process. Every time you go to water, give the plant a little shake at the base. this helps promote the release of pollen into the grow area thus helping production of peppers.

That's funny! The guy at the local shop uses a vibrating wand. I'm too cheap so I flick it with my finger. lol.

FullDuplex- That's a great tip concerning the peppers! I noticed this problem a few weeks ago. I give them a few good shakes and run the fan up close to them for a bit. Good Stuff! Rep+

thanks for the rep bro i appreciate that and i sent one back your way. At first i did what you did and flicked em at the stem, then i found the old tooth brush and it soon became part of my arsenal of growing supplies

things have slowed in the rotting department :) paying more attention and got Cal/mag. I'm told it should do the same as bone meal THANKS BTW. pics soon.

Full- Looks like you have plenty of room for your needs! What are you starting for the outdoor season?

MT-Good to hear that things are looking up for you!


Pics:
1 and 2 is a cola of my VIP.
3 is where the main branch broke off and four golf ball-sized buds are coming in.
4 is a 'mater.

All of the veggies are showing fruit except for one of the tomatoes. I wonder how long I have on the VIP. The bottom buds are just now turning cloudy with the pistils turning orange. All of the pistils are still white on the main colas with very little cloudy trichs. It's starting the 6th week.

Started some herbs last week. Cilantro, Oregano, Parsely, Basil.
