Help!! Small white/tan looking bugs on the stems!

I thought I may have seen something the other day but I wasn't sure until just now.

So I went to LST one of my babies and upon pushing down on the stem to put the hanger into the soil around the stem I saw what appeared to be little white or tan bugs crawling around on one of the plants. I'm pretty sure if it was one then it probably has progressed to them all by now. I killed what appeared to be two black aphids or gnats the other day and fear that they could have been the adult manifestation of what I have just witnessed.

I have grown a couple times in the past so I'm not a complete noob but would greatly appreciate it.

Could these be fungus gnats?

I'm using the Ocean Fox Farm soil right now btw.

Does diluted sishwashing liquid work? Can someone please help me out!!!

Anywho, so after calming down and reading various articles via here and http://tinyurl.com/yf4tjgv (google), I found that a temporary fix can be household dishwashing liquid(1 to 2 tablespoons per gallon of water), then spraying ALL of the plant including the soil surface. This is said to immediately kill many of the pests as it interferes with their cellular structure causing them to die slow deaths.

-AzaMax is my next purchase ($20) at my local grow shop, along with those HotShot Strips (http://tinyurl.com/yg9k7bj) if this problem persists after a weeks time.....then ladybugs as a last resort!

Hope this helps anyone else who may have crawling or flying pests but are not certain as to what they are or how to safely get rid of them.

Yea the bumps almost sound like scales google them and look at a couple pics and see if thats what they look like...neem oil on your stems helps those along with just picking them off.
