Providing you have a kilm to cook it in after, and some good paint to keep it nice and dust/partical free(antique bronze) is good..... heres what to do

figure out the size you want to make it,(so it fits in the kilm), then to make the bubbler bowl at the bottom roll out your clay and wrap an even sheet around a glass sphere paperweight, or a sphere the size you want, kids plastic balls come in many shapes and sizes

, once the clay has evenly been wrapped all around the ball/sphere, use a sharp cutting tool, lathered in slip, and insize a neat line down half of the clay the ball should be able to easily come out without damaging the shape too much, then make criss-cross lines along both sides of the split you have made, using more slip, fix the split by pushing both sides back together minus the ball, smooth over and youll be left with a hollow ball

step 2) use a rolling pin, and roll out another sheet the length you want your pipe to be, once again you should have an even sheet, wrap this around the rolling pin, score the edges criss crossed again, remove the rolling pin and with some slip mend the gap and smooth over, you should now have a hollow ball and a tube resembling a kitchen roll cardboard tube only thicker, 3) making sure both ends of the tube are perfectly straight edged (gently patt small circumferenced ends on the work surface) now place the tube upon the top of your sphere (anywhere lol its a sphere) sketch around the circumference with your cutting tool remove the clay tube and cut 1mm in from the sketched circle, roll 1 end of your tube against the work surface to give it a very slight cone shape to one end (still hollow from end to end) score an inch n a half criss crossed pattern around the neck of the cone and the inside of the hole of the ball, using slip sink the tube into the ball, once in mend the seal around the neck of the tube by merging the ball onto and a cm or so up the base of the pipe/tube, now you have your bong shape, please make sure the tube doesnt touch the bottom of the ball cos this will restrict air flow

now using a pen make a shooter hole an inch up the tube from where it joins the ball, the hole should be about the same width as your little finger

using the same technique you used for the pipe/tube repeat only using a pen instead of a kitchen roll tube, you should end up with a hollow sausage shape about 8 to 12" long and about 1.5" wide max the hollow tube effect should be pen diameter and you should be able to suck/blow through it easily

again place it against the side of your bong ball shape, and sketch a circle again cut in 1mm in from you sketched circle and slightly cone the end going into the ball, once youve criss crossed and slipped up the 2 joins cut the slight cone at a 45 degree angle( this allows more air/smoke flow)

insert it into the ball and making sure the small pipe/tube doesnt touch the base of the ball or the neck of your main tube but is about .5" away from the bottom of the ball (measuring is a good idea

) then smooth the seal ball to pipe as before, ok nearly done

now finally flare the end of the pipe (the small pipe in which you are going to burn your herb) to the same size as your gauze, making sure all the while air flow is not restricted, then paint if desired, or otherwise put your finished piece in the kilm and cook it till done ps if you want a stand for it you can either make a 2 step platform, very gently patt the base of the ball against the work surface to create a flat bottom, ingrave your name, tag, or pic on the bottom to prove it yours and JOB DONE

hope this helps -STELTHY
