No water pump is needed, just make sure you have a good air pump. I only use a water pump to recirc. when adjusting ph and draining.

good deal cuz i only have 1 water pump. can i use rockwool and hydroton in a net cup with dwc

I start my plants in rockwool starter cubes, then transplant into the hydroton in the net pots.

thing is i started before i got my cab ready wasnt sure how i was gonna water first it was drip,then aeroponics,now dwc any way i started in rooter cubes then the roots were showin in my bakin pan so i put them in rockwool while i finished now im afraid they are in it this go around

Rockwool will work just fine, the big reason hydroton is used its reusable, so therefore cheaper.
