We are creating unrest in the country between the other two we have occupied for going on a decade. We paid good money for this. What the hell is he supposed to say...besides sorry?

:leaf::peace::leaf:
Nonsense.... we haven't caused their troubles. Not everything falls at the feet of Democracy (waa waa waa). Want to see Irans troubles? You needn't leave their own borders.

30 years of a totally wasted society.

No, thanks to the Islamic regime ....

Iran is a mess and it is their own making. They have had 30+ years to turn it around, and yet the just keep digging deeper.

Now, Iran has just told Obama that they aren't going to comply with ANYTHING. China has now said they won't support any sanctions with Iran. Russia itself is now going to UPGRADE their nuclear arsenal as well.

How much more weakness and failure can Obama project?

This is embarrassing ... and dangerous.

We need an adult in the White House, not a liberal.

The CIA and other western intelligence groups have been screwing with Iranian government for a long time. This has nothing to do with Obama or Bush for that matter (both terrible sellout presidents by the way). This is a known fact, so don't try to spin shit.

The real problem is our truly Un-American foreign policy, 'terrorism'(most acts of 'terrorism' are committed in cooperation with the CIA) has just become and excuse to invade sovereign countries and erode our civil rights even further.

You can continue to be a fake neo-con that supports pre-emptive strikes that kill millions of innocent people.

Dissent is the highest form of patriotism Jax, maybe you will change your mind when the Chinese own a large part of our country  Oh wait . . . in October 09 China owned 798.9 Billion in US treasury bonds. Wake up Jax we are being sold out by our own Government! Both your precious neo-cons and the liberal's are equally to blame. Iran is just another distraction to keep you occupied while foreign and domestic criminal syndicates rob our country blind.

he Central Intelligence Agency's secret history of its covert operation to overthrow Iran's government in 1953 offers an inside look at how the agency stumbled into success, despite a series of mishaps that derailed its original plans.
Written in 1954 by one of the coup's chief planners, the history details how United States and British officials plotted the military coup that returned the shah of Iran to power and toppled Iran's elected prime minister, an ardent nationalist.
The document shows that:

Britain, fearful of Iran's plans to nationalize its oil industry, came up with the idea for the coup in 1952 and pressed the United States to mount a joint operation to remove the prime minister.
The C.I.A. and S.I.S., the British intelligence service, handpicked Gen. Fazlollah Zahedi to succeed Prime Minister Mohammed Mossadegh and covertly funneled $5 million to General Zahedi's regime two days after the coup prevailed.
Iranians working for the C.I.A. and posing as Communists harassed religious leaders and staged the bombing of one cleric's home in a campaign to turn the country's Islamic religious community against Mossadegh's government.
The shah's cowardice nearly killed the C.I.A. operation. Fearful of risking his throne, the Shah repeatedly refused to sign C.I.A.-written royal decrees to change the government. The agency arranged for the shah's twin sister, Princess Ashraf Pahlevi, and Gen. H. Norman Schwarzkopf, the father of the Desert Storm commander, to act as intermediaries to try to keep him from wilting under pressure. He still fled the country just before the coup succeeded.

Uhh duh.... that's not what I meant. We had access to Saddams oil dummy. It's not like we weren't buying it before.
Now the oil profits go to the PEOPLE of Iran as opposed to the privileged few surrounding Saddam.

You need a history lesson son.

We freed the oil profits, not the oil. Now the rightful owners share in their national wealth, as they themselves have voted upon in a democratic fashion.

I can see why ur upset ... not  Or do those ideals irk you?

Yep now that we "freed oil profits" the plan is to just leave Iran and its people in possesion of their own natural resources . . . NOT!

You are trying to spin things again Jax, you should know well that crap does not work with me. You can not free oil or profits, only people can be free. The power shift we have cause by bringing Saddam out of power has only resulted in rich capitalist nations(US, EU,China, ect) playing war games with Iran.

It has everything to do with stealing those "freed profits" BACK for the elite and NOTHING to do with a dinky nuclear weapons program.

I listen to neo-cons like you babble off spin and disinformation all the time. Always love to tell half truths and then come up with some stupid ass excuse for killing millions of people.

"Freed the oil profits":wall:(neo-con translation) = "give NATO a reason to strike Iran":fire:

But we are the good guys! Here to spread democracy and freedom right?

WAIT! Are we a Republic or a Democracy? Why would a Republic have any interest in spreading 'Democracy'? Just some food for thought;-)

A relevant quote from Brigadier General Smedley Butler

"I spent 33 years and four months in active military service and during that period I spent most of my time as a high class muscle man for Big Business, for Wall Street and the bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism. I helped make Mexico and especially Tampico safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefit of Wall Street. I helped purify Nicaragua for the International Banking House of Brown Brothers in 1902-1912. I brought light to the Dominican Republic for the American sugar interests in 1916. I helped make Honduras right for the American fruit companies in 1903. In China in 1927 I helped see to it that Standard Oil went on its way unmolested. Looking back on it, I might have given Al Capone a few hints. The best he could do was to operate his racket in three districts. I operated on three continents."

and another relevant quote.
"War is a racket. It always has been. It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives. A racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of the people. Only a small 'inside' group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few, at the expense of the very many. Out of war a few people make huge fortunes."

Nothing has changed since his time.

Absolutely spot on. Thank you for your clarity!!!! I agree with every syllable.

The CIA should have never overthrown the Democratic elected government in 1953.
Exactly.

Thank you for this quote. It shows how long this facade has been going on.

CJ it is not about Repukes or socialists. There IS NO DIFFERENCE! The agendas are the same, the distractions are just slightly different. We as free citizens of this great Republic need unity rather than the purposefully created partisan-ism that keeps our eye off the ball.

So much stuff happens in the world everyday...on our national news we see a minuscule fraction of what is "important" why do we get to see what we do, and why do why not see the rest, or at least the important stuff...all the while fluffy balloon boy, and celebrity gossip fills in the blanks. This has not changed in the last year...the last 9 years...the last 17 years...hell it is no different than when the Halcyon popping, just say no while my wife consults a psychic about foreign and domestic policy, marijuana is the most dangerous drug known to man...Raygun years!

And don't go talking taxes without looking into tax rates of republicans as well as dems, historically and currently. http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/10/30/133546/05/920/646919

There is NO difference in the Party(s)....

WAR IS PEACE

FREEDOM IS SLAVERY

IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH

We (American's) all bleed red, white, and blue...United we Stand! stop allowing us to be divided!

The proof is in the pudding.

I have my proof (Iran has their oil intact and the profits are going to be given to its ppl).

Where's ur proof that that isn't true.....

I know it's kewl to hate ur own country, but ur all wrong here. We didn't go in for their oil, and we don't have their oil.

We did decimate Al queda, kill a ruthless dictator who was stealing from his own ppl, and freed 55 million of them to boot.

Sounds horrible.

No spin needed, it's the truth. If you find that truth uncomfortable, maybe you need to look in the mirror sometime and figure out how your knee jerk reaction is to be negative about the greatest country on earth. Since you DIRECTLY BENEFIT from living here, it makes you a bit of a hypocrite.

I'd rather not have my money stolen(income tax) and spent to overthrow foreign dictators that are no threat to me.

how much are we in debt to China?

Those that blindly support foreign entanglements and the bank owned hijacked gov. are the true haters of their own country.
they will turn a blind eye because they are profiting nicely from war and bad policy.

they hate the principals that the country was founded on, but support the corrupt individuals that have stolen it from us and installed principals where profit and power are the only goal, and liberty and justice have been shunned for greed.

No doubt if this were 1775 CJ would be fighting for the King.
