the original strain that i seeded was called air force 1. as in the presidents airplane. i "hijacked" it with an unknown male. i got one female seed from it. this was crossed with unknown bagseed. it's really a mutt at that point. then i started breeding it out to what it is today. bongsmilie

Both phenos 30g/plant. One was cut @11 weeks with the longer colas (I call "A") and the one with the fatter colas ("B") went 12 weeks.

Went into jars on 12/25.

12/27 I started smoking the "A" not out of necessity, but because it kicks ass.

With almost no time to cure it smells tastes and smokes outstanding. It is as stoney as my headband but the taste is absolutely wonderful.

The "B" smells and tastes much different. It is not quite as stoney, but will undoubtedly improve with some cure. I usually need nearly a month cure before smoking headband.

The first toke on a fat bowl leaves me smacking my lips and blowing the hit out slowly trying to taste every bit! Thanks!

was that 12 weeks total time or 12 weeks from pistils?
I had forced them and sexed prior to flower, so they had pre flowers. 12 weeks from when they went into the flower area. They could have kept going, and as FDD has noted, they won't stop flowering. Spider mites on a couple of other plants and not wanting to treat these two so near harvest, was the deciding factor to remove them. The "A" is outstanding and I would not do it differently (11 weeks) The "B" just does not produce the same heavy resin, and the inside of the fat buds appear to not ripen.

The only problem with plants going so long is it messes up the rotation. I end up holding back a plant ready to flower, and then it gets too big and then I can only flower 4 instead of 6...yield is about the same either way.

Anyway, I must say again how lovely the "A" smoke is...the high is near perfect for keeping me nice. With the hermie trait gone it is truly special IMO.

I lost track of how long they vegged. It was a long time but with fairly poor light at times. The summer A/C and the veg and flower were taking a toll on the pocket and I took a trip, so part of the time they were under a skylight, barely surviving. The force flower-revert back to veg-topping-recover process takes a while...especially with low light...oh yeah, and 5" pots of coco/perlite until 2 weeks before flower then 6 liter w/ FFOF.

12 weeks is about 2 more than I can stand! as for the yield...besides all the stress of their youth they each had one square foot under a 400W ( 6 plants spilling out of 6 sq ft).

The "B" is nothing special, at this point, and still in cure.

The "A" is fairly balanced but leans towards the head.

I am no somelier...but the original flavor of the "A" was more skunky, and it has changed in the last couple of days...I can not put my finger on the dominate flavor, but yesterday I tasted a hint of fake blueberry, and a friend today said it tasted purple...whatever that means...He also said it was very skunky, but had not tasted it before. It has rich full flavor for the first hit...the second is still flavorful...still taste the flavor (beyond just pot smoke) until the hit before the last one. Usually the second toke tastes pretty much burnt.

It will be interesting to see haw the flavor/aroma changes...right now I actually like the flavor it had at 3-7days...which I find a little strange:-?

Oh, and the buds are fairly large for the potency, firm and VERY easy light trim. If bag appeal is an issue...it is fairly showy with lots of trichromes and large buds. The pistils could be receded more. It may be the strains I grow, but I keep getting new pistils past 10 weeks so the buds look hairy and I do not see much amber. I think the lack of amber is partially from only 400w, as if you damage trichromes...they turn amber. My Kush x trainwreck pistils receded fully though and she just dies if you go 11 weeks.

Also she is FAR less bitchy than the Headband i usually grow.

Someone who knows what they are doing could do much better with this strain! With a 1000w on a mover over an 8' table could easily get 2#'s

Edit: losing the apple jolly rancher smell that it had so strong in flower, though still smell it on my fingers after breaking up a bowl...very sticky.

Will you be making seeds from these? and will you do it in confinement indoors or wait till fall?

Also, any idea if your "A" is what I am calling "A"? and do the individual seed stock phenos really only express the pheno (is this called "stable")?

my plan is to take cuttings to determine sex and use as outdoor plants as well. i will flower some of the cuttings inside . i could probably seed some then. if not it will be in the fall outside.

going back one generation the seeds were very stable. the A pheno is more towards the sativa side. the buds are longer, knottier and tighter. the B pheno shows more indica traits with fat football shaped coals that are a little looser than the A's. the aromas are from one end of the spectrum to the other. the A pheno smells like candied green apples, the B pheno smells cheesy.

Your "A" is definitely the same as what I was calling "A". Perfect description of both...And I sure do love the "A" Matter of fact, time for a bowl after dinner:bigjoint:

Did I understand you right, that you have seeds for each pheno that only express the individual phenotype?
