ya i got one lemon kush and the rest are all really good bag seed but i think i should let it get bigger before i flower i will be using a 400 w hid so that should be enough light to flower eight plants - what ever are males i want to take 3 good clones from that one an two from every other plant.i will keep them noted.
also my plant is only 9 inches long and i am worried that i wont get a lot of weight if i flower now what do you guys think.
I assume you want the male to make seeds somewhere down the road. I really wouldn't suggest doing that with bag seed. A high percentage of bag seed comes from hermies, and that's a trait that they pass to their children. You can get seeds pretty cheap, I'd suggest making some cash off this batch and getting some feminized seed of a good strain, whatever your favorite "flavor" is. This way you know the genetics are good before putting in all the effort.
I agree with vegging under the HID, it will help things go quicker for you. And I hope that's an HPS because they're much better for flowering than MHs are. MHs ae likely to give you light & fluffy buds.
You should definately get her bigger before flowering. How are the roots, do they have enough room to grow? If the roots are ok, putting her under the HID should get you over a foot in a week or two depending on other conditions.
here is some more pics of other plants i got growing the first two are of a plant i topped after 4 weeks from seed and it is looking good the last pic is were i dont know what happen i tried to top it and did it wrong and 3 sets of leaves come out every time it grows up check it out
They look pretty good, nice and green. I'm not sure about the three leaves, it's not FIM though. You'd have 2 to 4 main stems if you FIMed.
FIMing is the shit though, but only if you do it right. If not you'll end up with a scrawny looking plant with 4 colas that don't get much more yeild than if you didn't FIM.
I've been working on the secret to building the monster like the one in the pic. I think I came up with 2 pieces of the puzzle.
1 - Give her all the nutes, major & minor. I'm posting a chart so you have a list of all the nutes. This chart also shows how well plants absorb the nutes at different water pH levels.
I've only been able to find one line of nutes that include all the minor nutes (sulpher, calcium, magnesium, and molybdenum are not found in Fox Farm for some reason). The line is called Dyna-Gro, you can check out their stuff on
www.dyna-gro.com It's chemically based so you'll have to avoid using organic based nutes. From what I've been told, organic & chemical nutes don't play well together. You can order right from the company if they're not available near by.
This line also has a small ammount of chlorine (0.1 %) and I recently found out that while too much chlorine is very bad, none at all can also be bad.
2 - Mycorrhiza you can read up on it here
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mycorrhiza
In a nutshell, it helps roots grow faster & bigger. It also helps your roots fill in those big empty spots that you might have noticed if you ever looked at your roots before. The more roots you have, the bigger and healthier the plant and the more nutes it can absorb and process.
Also, this stuff helps whatever root system you have to absorb and process more nutes more quickly. Monsters like the one in the pic would need more nutes than an ordinary root system can possibley absorb and process.
There are several products that have it, try to find one with low nutes so you can add it to your regular watering schedule and so it doesn't interfere with chemical nutes too much if you decide to use them. You can find them at nurseries and grow stores, but it's much more cheaper at nurseries ($13 a qt) then it is at grow stores ($40).
I hope this info helps.
