Experienced Aerogarden users?

Hi,

Every hydro/aeroponic MJ grow article I have ever read talks about how critical PH testing every day is and also TDS testing. However, the Aerogarden literature never mentions any need to test these things when using the Aerogarden?

Is this particular plant just more sensitive to these things than other plants typically grown in an Aerogarden, or is this testing really not necessary when using an aerogarden for some reason (even though it seems like just a simplified hydroponic system)?

I have never used a ph tester, if you use the tabs that come with the AG the ph will be correct.
 
I just change the water out each week. I have a ph tester for my pool and tons of pool balancing chemicals, but don't even know if the chemicals are harmful or not. When i start seeing signs of nutrient deficiency, ill start balancing it, but before that will ever happen, ill just change the reservoir.
 
I don't know about the nutrients being able to do that, but i just make a new gallon of nutrient solution and change out the reservoir everytime i get worried. I dont worry much.
