This is my 12th week of budding and ive yet to see any amber trichomes.. They are all just really milky and look good but i want that couchlock high on these babies.

Should i start flushing before i even see trichomes change to amber... I bought a magnifying glass and they all look really milky but not amber and even so late ( I think its cause im growing under cfl and led) so it takes longer....

I tried a sample of the nuggs i got pretty high just not stoned due to the lack of amber chomes and it also tasted really leafy and nasty kinda because it hadnt been flushed or cured..

So take a few looks at these pics and let me know what u think about what i should do about flushing these babies out... Does it take a long time once they are milky to start changing to amber????

master kush and bubba kush are like 7-8 weekers if I remember correctly. Where did you get your seeds or clones?

...you should start your flush shortly after you start to see the white pistols turn to red/brown, or atleast the last week of bloom, most people perfer 2-3 weeks of flush for better taste. Good luck!

Are you taking samples from several places around the plant to check trichs? It is possible to get an area with no amber trichs even though in other locations they may be at 50%.

They showed quickly just think its cause i'm growing with led that they are taking longer to bloom..
I have noticed they have gotten milkier and now have literally no clear chomes

Ya i checked the trichomes on teh tops and bottoms of the plants i trimmed up and have about 8 cfs and a t5 gettting all the buds good coverages so they all look at about the same maturity... IN the past few days the bubba kush has been getting really almost white with milky trichomes.. i just hope they are gonna e ready soon.. Im kinda under a time restraint

So is a week sufficient to flush out hydro?? with a good flush of the actual pots not returning the mixture back into the reservoir? Also i was athinkin about flushing them each one by one with ice water to help get some purps show up in the last week on the bubba kush>>> any thoughts on this?

^^^ I didn't even consider your medium...LOL, sorry...got to love Trainwreck :weed:...LOL

...anywho, yes, you are correct...one week is good for reservior growers like yourself. Use plain RO water.Don't know about the whole ice water thingy you mentioned there. I tend to stick with mother nature as close as possible. Good luck.

At the rate these look that they are coming along im almost thinkng about giving them 2 weeks more strong nutes and then flushing for 2 weeks and harvesting while im on my trip.....
Does this sound wise or well i be past he point of dankness by then>>>?

Finally put up some pics... these are currently on their 12th week. Nutes at 1350ppm ph 5.7. Temps range from 55 to 75 degrees F.. Humidity ranges from 35 to 55%.......And the reservoir has been getttin pretty chilly due to the winter months cold weather here.

Heres my pics of the bubba kush ones first(They look really milky and if you zoom in on the pic you can see the trichomes very well)

Lots of signs of milky trichomes but still no amber :?
If i stop giving them nutes will they still change to amber or should i wait till i see amber chomes..

I added another cfl with Y bracket today so hopefully that helps

All together I got 8 (23W cfls each 1600 lumens) = 184watts/12800 lumens
2 (30W cfls each 1900 lumens) = 60watts/3800 lumens
1 90watt UFO led light
and.. 1 2 feet T5 with 2700K light bulb
NOt sure the lumens of the last two lights but its gotta be enough light for these babies to finish.
I've heard it takes longer to bud with cfl and led, but am i hopelessly out of luck with this light set up?

Would you mind talking a little bit about your led setup and your experience growing with led. Those strains shouldn't be anywhere near 12 weeks so obviously slower growth is one downside. What model LED, wattage, how much heat does it put out, how close can you get it to the plants, does the light spread evenly or is it direct, etc.

Sorry if that's off topic. I've just never heard anything good about LED's. Your buds look great but 12 weeks... yikes! That's one hell of a commitment considering in the same time you can get about 2 harvests depending on the strain.
