Nice. I got some purple coming. Clone from a friend, and his was very purple.....I was just talking to my wife about making green dragon vodka with purp. What makes purple, purple besides the color purple. Green is chlorphyl... would vofka get purple. About to crack a bottle of green dragon everclear in the spirit of holidays.

Started the 2 week flush on my two Madman OG's today at day 46 flower.They look like they are gonna finish before the SFV's and the Tahoe which I plan on letting go 65-70 days.Better early than late as far as I am concerned.The SFV's and the Tahoe are really starting to dense up now.The Tahoe looks like its gonna be a pretty decent yielder. As I mentioned before the LA CON and Kushberry will probably be ready in 10 - 14 days hopefully.
I love when I open my tent and it reeks of that OG goodness.MMMMM I'm gonna burn one to that.

I really want to get an electronic ballast soon and I was wondering if anyone had any helpful info on the matter.Currently I have the 1000w magnetic in my 4 x 4 Tent.I was debating on switching to the 1000w electronic(possibly dimmable) or maybe going for the 600w(possibly dimmable).Was not sure on maybe the heat output difference(cooling is a concern in summer) vs the cost of running the 600 vs 1000 vs yield difference % etc..etc..etc...etc...Hmmm 600 or 1000. Also have any of you had any experience with any of the different brands.I really only here about Lumatek and Quantum.Preferences,suggestions?????????????Any input would be greatly appreciated

The ballast is in the tent? I always put mine somewhere seperate, air cooled( just a fan blowing through them). The cooler you can keep those magnetics, the less energy they will use. Electronic ballast's are sweet. Really makes use of all the watts they are pulling. Dimmables seem like a great way to go. Never used them. But then you could adjust the power if heat is an issue..... After all it will be on 12 hours at a time. I will go all electronic someday..... but for now Im going to hoard all the magnetic ballasts I can.

my ballast is outside my tent for sure. When I was talking heat I was reffering to the heat put off by a 600 bulb or 1000 bulb and it was that different. In otherword would you get a 600 or 1000 for a 4 x 4 tent for flower???

Well.... If that was my only and primary grow room I would go 600w and dial it in... But for my purposes of perpetually expanding, I would buy 1000ws...... I wish I had 3 600ws rather than 1k and 2 400w. You could always dial in the 1000w in the tent with heat. Any way to lower the ambient temp of the room the tent is in? Dimmable ballast would be great for the tent if heat is an issue some part of the year.... Ideally, 1000w electronic dimmable ballast. Running 600ws is very nice on the power bill and gives you more lumens per watt than higher or lower wattage ballast/ lamps.
