100 watt cfl's on seedlings

need to know if two 100 watt cfl is too much for my babies? any info is much appreciated!!!

i had mine under 8 26w bulbs before they even popped out of the dirt and it was fine. had to edit this part was high and reading it it looked confusing lol. its ok just dont put the light to close when their small

skervy is right. As long as you have the babies a good distance from the light while they are young, say the first 7 to 14 days from sprouting, then they will be fine. Before lowering the light to optimal distance you rearly want the second set of leaves to have developed well first.

That's perfect for your seedlings!! Plenty of light and very low heat. You can keep those lamps inches away from the tops with NO problems. They will love you for it! Pic is last plant I grew about 2-3 inches away. The leaves even grew into the bulb at one point and it didn't burn them. Just look at that happy little girl.

ok thanks guys i really appreciate it. at first i only had them under a couple flouresents and they started 2 stretch so i had 2 go get some more power for my babies and on the light wave scace i got 5500 thats what i want for veg right?

one for them now is fine and 55000 is good but 65000 is better

I start all seedlings under my 250watt cfl for the fist 10-14 days before turning on the HPS. No probs, just make sure thay are almost touching.

i thought u put a plant into veg somewhere between 3 weeks to month after germination

Yes, that's the right spectrum for vegging your plant. 5500 is a full spectrum bulb that promotes overall plant growth. When you flower it, you'll want a warm spectrum bulb, 2700.
