What is The Better Deal?

Was just wondering which one of these would be the better deal on a light, or should I buy new? Any and all opinions are appreciated

to me, u gotta cut corners anyway u can in this game... the cheeper u can get shit the better.. but i feel lights should not be cut unless u know where it came from(who and how they have treated them) last thing u want is a fire or shit that doesnt work all cuz u wanted to save a few bucks... not to mention buying used from strangers could be a set up from police or robbers... thats my oppinion tho... oh and u never told or showed us what ur options were to choose from
 
says the bidding ended so i guess the 600 lol. i like 600 better anyway it will produce way more and be worth it.
 
any of them if you're on a budget. can you keep any of them cool and keep your room temps down?

if anything you can find a few complete systems (hydroasis.com is one company that i can think of) from know companies if your worried about anything resinraider said.
 
Thanks And sorry for all the questions.I have a 1000w already in a 5×5 so im just trien to put some more light over them. If the 400 wasnt sold would that of been a better deal 75.00+40.00=115.00 for a 400 hps and the parabolic reflector just seems like a steal to me or is the 600 still the better deal? Would 200 more watts make that big of a difference seeing that I have a 1000w already? If it was a better deal Im just going to wait for another 1 to come along. Just seem like the 400 was A steal maybe im wrong?

well i think that the 600 and a 1000 in a 5x5 is overkill.. imo... but its not the watts that make the diff... its the luminus... the 600 is nearly doulbe the 400 in luminus and jus about as much as the 1000... all in all.. 600's r the better lamps... sell ur 1000 and buy 2 600's!!! that would be perfect!!!
 
ok i dont see any links. but let me say a couple of things.
1 if you are doing this as a business you need to look at your costs, if this is your first grow on advanced equipment, you are going to fuck up at least one part of the system. we allllll have. So you are faced with 2 options buy a very good tool and learn how to use IT, or by a cheap tool and learn the PROCESS.

2 For the most part you get what you pay for. When it comes to durable goods cheep things are more often than not not long for this world. However when it comes to bulbs, buy the cheap one and replace them super often so lumen maintenance is not important.

3 How are you going to use it?
Are you going to bloom veg all in one? Are you going to only use it for blooming? Only vegging? Planing on using ceramic metal halides?

Asking which light is better is like asking which strain is better...

my advice is go cheap until you know you want to continue this hobby, then buy better stuff to deal with the stuff you dont like.
If you get out and want to sell your equipment your salvage value wont be that different between lights.

but in light of new information how about a light mover to more efficently distribute the light

you wouldnt have to worry about extra heat and you would be able to better put light on hidden buds. not only that but the electricity to use the bastard has to be cheaper.

or i agree sell your 1k and buy 2x600's or 3x400's or 4x250's

but the light mover seems like a more simple option.
 
Your a good dude man i appreciate your help and leg work you did for me. Defiantly looking into the light mover idea, seems like that would be just as good and alittle cheaper in the long run. Was just wondering if that 400 for 75.00 was a good deal or not? Was goin to bid on it but I snoozed :sleep: Ooooops.

the way I buy used shit on ebay is NEVER go above 65% the cost of a new item keep track of the respective shipping too. be it a camera or a bike.


the reflector new would have been easily twice that price. but damn $40 for shipping, fuck!
I think a mover and a roll of mylar is more than enough
plus with the mover you could plant lower species on the edges and they would get good light and you would end up with a cone of weed.

adding the mover would give you the effect of having 2 1k watters with none of the extra power cost or heat.

and i found my vodka dont worry. but now it is empty.
 
Also 2 more ebay rules never getting into a pissing contest over an item
and dont bid on an item ending on friday sat or sun, unless you put in your max bid and WALK AWAY.

Given enough time there will be another item just like it.
