cool setup man.. what strain do u have growing
Right now I have G13's Blue Venom going in the tent. Tried taking clones but they're a mess. I'm currently germinating a fem'd White Rhino seed from Greenhouse.....and there's some Pineapple Express, Afgan Kush, and DNA LA Woman fem'd seeds coming any day now in the mail that I got for free from Attitude. :blsmoke:

Here they are :mrgreen:

End of week 4 pics! I got no compliants with how she's lookin so far. :clap:

The bud growth for 4 weeks is better than I've had on other strains that I've grown. :grin:

And for week 5.....we're introducing Fox Farm's Tiger Bloom into the mix. I was thinking of going with GH's Floralicious as Zen mentioned that this has worked pretty well with him and then I realized...."wait a sec, i already have a bloom enhancer". Not sure what the effect will be. Only added 3 tsp per gallon to see the effect. The ppm has finally crossed the 1000 mark. Given her size at this point, I don't think she'll have much of a problem handling it. So, for those Coco enthusiasts keeping track, I have added:

Canna Coco A 10mL/gal
Canna Coco B 10mL/gal
CalMag 3mL/gal
Canna PK 13/14 5mL/gal (hoping we're gettin close to the "sweet spot" part of this
FF Tiger Bloom 3Tsp/gal

PPM= 1000
pH=6.0
Temp= 75f :o :clap:
RH= 60% :shock:...f***, it's back. That's with the the dehumidifier runnin on high

Enjoy the porn!

aww man, that looks soooo good. i hope that booster works for you. no need in buying what you've already got. in my opinion they are all pretty much the same, just different price tags. and they all pretty much read the same"blah, blah, blah made from plant and marine material, blah, blah increased oil production(trichs), and so on. i say use it if you got it.

hey dude you never got back with me about that fan. do you think 117cfm is enough for that 30 cubic foot mother cabinet?

Oops! Stoner memory. :lol:

That fan should work fine. And you probably won't even have to deal with that weightless effect that might have been from the 200+cfm fan.

I do know that the length and more importantly "bends" in your ducting will largely determine how much air it actually pulls. Those bends in ducting create resistance, lowering the actual cfms that these fans will pull.

But for a 30cubic ft space, I would think that a 117cfm would do just fine. Probably the perfect size for it. :eyesmoke:

On another quick update note, my seeds arived today! :clap:

Took Attitude 10 days from my order. And this time it was packaged so damn well, I didn't know there were seeds in it. These people deserve an award!

Pineapple express (free), LA Woman (free), and Afgan Kush....all feminized. So many seeds and so little time to grow. ;-)

bruv this grow is really gettin on...!

how long do reckon b4 harvest??
I'm thinking 4-5 weeks left. Half way there :mrgreen:

The trichs are really just starting to form. I'll be hoping to see alot more action from trich growth in the final 3 weeks. Thinking about getting a cheapo UVB bulb to accelerate this process.

do the bulbs jus accelerate or do they also encourage more trichs ??
Good point. Accelerate was a poor choice of words. The UVB results in trichs being formed earlier in the grow and more of them are formed (kinda a defense mechanism the :leaf: uses to protect itself from that particular spectrum).

Not sure how much of this is proven fact but a couple of growers I know in my area swear by it.

and im sorry if this is a stupid question butters but what is a uvb bulb?

i mean is it a specific colour, or type of light?

hey Butters. i cut my NL's tuesday, gonna cut some fo my BV"s down this weekend, cause they are definitley looking ready. i mean the buds are compact. and when i say compact i mean that they are super hard and dense. now i went ahead and bought some pk13/14, and i added some in the 5th and 6th week. now i don't know if they are rock hard because of that, but the first BV that i had was not nearly as hard, not even close. and i'm not talking about just after they have been fed and they soak up the nutes and puff out a bit hard. i'm talking about they were a day behind and the coco was dry, but they were still hard to the point where if you cut the cola off and hit somebody on the head with it, it would really, really hurt. so man i am on pins and needles to see how hard they stay after they dry, cause it will definitely equal into more wieght, whichs means bigger yield. so yea, i am so ready.
what's up with your baby? everything good? what about the clone situation?

UVB is just a particular type of the light spectrum. UVB rays are harmful to us and most animals and plants but are commonly used for people that own lizards (they love that spectrum).

In the case of :leaf:, the plant tries to "protect" itself from this spectrum by making more trichs as a layer of protection.

These bulbs are commonly found at pet stores but it's not a good idea to overuse them are keep yourself exposed to this light for any significant period of time. :fire:

Waddup Zen. :mrgreen:

Pretty cool to see the (potential) effect of that pk13/14 on the grow. Pretty cool to visualize actually beating someone over the head with a :leaf: bud too. :lol:

My girl is flourishing fortunately (pics up tomorrow). Those little gnat things are back but they don't seem to be f'n with anything in there. They're just chillin.

The clones I haven't mentioned in awhile. They are still in the aerogarden. The original clones that I took are all but dead. Gotta just throw them out. But the 2 that I cut at about 2.5 weeks of flower are still green looking. No roots yet. They're about 2 weeks old since the cut now but I've been reading up and it will probably take about 3-4 weeks to take. The cloning environment isn't very good either. Humidity is down to like 29%. I put a clear plastic cup over one of the them to raise the rh in there. I just need one to survive bro. Just one to make it so I can keep the BV strain alive and growing.

As a back up, I hatched one of my White Rhino seeds (pics coming tomorrow). This strain has a great SCROG rep and I'm really excited to get it going. It's just a little sprout right now but I anticipate putting it under 12/12 in about 5 weeks.

Thanks for checkin in bro

they were still hard to the point where if you cut the cola off and hit somebody on the head with it, it would really, really hurt.
OK, that just gave me the funniest visual. :clap: If anyone ever tries to take my pot, I'll just beat them on the head with the biggest cola I've got! Who needs weapons when they're growing? :lol:

I took clones from my girls at 18 days of flowering, four weeks ago. They rooted enough to not need the humidity domes (clear plastic cups on mine too) about a week ago. The hairs finally all died off, the little buds have shrunk (though aren't quite all gone on the two sativas yet), and there is now new growth developing, especially on the indica... the "strange looking" (as so many have phrased it) one-point leaves, which is what we first see when revegging. I wasn't sure how well they'd take, as I've seen several people post that they've never been able to successfully reveg their plants. But it went smoothly. Just took a week or so longer to take root than "regular" clones. I don't know why those people can clone, but not reveg or clone flowering plants. I did nothing different than I've been doing. :lol:

The clear plastic cup should alleviate your RH problem. I lightly mist them daily, to ensure the RH stays up and the leaves stay moist. That seems to keep them happy. :D Remember, if you have ventilation holes in your humidity domes, you don't have to worry about making sure they're removed for breathing several times a day. ;)

Also, although some people would probably "yell" at me for doing this, I very lightly feed my cuttings. I mix a double dose of nutes for a gallon, but in a 1 litre soda bottle, which I keep in the fridge. When I feed them, I add 1-2 oz. (depending on what they appear to need) of this mix into a 20 oz. water bottle, then give that to the cuttings. (There were eight cuttings in all, hence the full 20 oz. bottle of water. lol) I've found, for me, that they take root very easily and remain very green when I do it this way. No more yellowing or dying leaves on my cuttings since I started this light feeding. Any stronger than this and I'm sure they'd burn like hell, though. :lol: (A very light feeding like this is especially helpful for hydro or coco, as there's of course no natural nutrition in there like there is in good soil.) I also add 1 oz. of the concentrated nute mix in the fridge to my 32 oz. spray bottle, and use that for misting my cuttings and my plants in veg. They love this, too.

If you'd like, I'll get a photo for you of the revegged clones as they are now, with the "strange looking" new leaves, so that when yours start their new growth you won't wonder WTF is up with them. :mrgreen: I'm also using the AG for clones and seedlings, but only the light. I put an old food container where the reservoir goes, and have 16 oz. cups in there. The AG is awesome for cloning and seedlings, ain't it?
