first grow.will it work?

i am using 2 27 watt cfls. they had 1400 lumens each. im using miracle grow potting soil will this work?

iv nether used miricle grow potting soil but all it gets is bad press when growing cannabis! nute burn. also those lights seem a little weak. i use a 400 watt metal halide and rate it highly. also think about ventilation and installing reflective mylar to the walls of your growroom to get the most from your lights. keep us posted

that's enough light for seedlings, but you'll need much more light. Several 42watt CFLs will flower one plant.

Soil with time-released nutes make it hard to regulate feeding. You'll likely over fertilize and burn some leaves early on in the plant's development.

if i dont usse any other fert for a month or so will thet still burn by the way for my first grow i aint wanna waste no money so im just usin some seeds out if the last batch i was smoking

its best to cut MG soil down some with something. perlite or peat moss or both works well. i have burned the hell out of seedlings with MG soil. do not overwater it if its straight MG and you should be ok. if you overwater at all or your pots have bad drainage you will probably end up burned.

thanks for the info i appriciate it. should i wait till the soil is dry befor i water again how dry all the way threw i have them in just jiffy pots now i think there draining pretty good how long do uj think they will hold up before i put them in somthin

day 2. how i look im gonna get 6500k and y splitters in a couple more days or should i get them now .does it matter if i wait a few days before i get them?

they fell i droped the lights on them.twice both trays hit the ground.i put them back int the pot filled them with a lot more soil and watered them aftter a day they seem to be doin fine these pics are today day 5 since they came threw the dirt.i also planted two more from a diffrent batch i jus threw the seeds straight in the soil.
thats the light makin them look yellow

I have had no problems w/MG! Depends on strain as to whether they will get nute burn or not.

got more lights.i happy so far hope i dont run in to any problems from reading others threads a lot can go wrong.do yall think that cool white bulb is doing any good all the way up there.

I have gotten bugs using mg soil several times. and I keep a clean grow room. I guess this is pretty common with thier soil also.
just keep a lookout my man

Just remember dont over water keep the lights as close as possible and get bigger pots

could it come from not enough water ive been tryin not to over water.i wait till the soil is dry couple inches deep.do yall think its just nute burn from the mg. if so should i switch soil or will they get better. most of them are still standin up strong but the older leaves look bad 1 is showin some burn on the new leaves.

Looks like nute burn to me in case you don't know evry time you water you induce nutes from the soil somtimes so much the soil becomes acidic get a ph tester you want it to read around 6 if too high use ph down. Good Luck on the grow.

yes, that will work but might i just suggest you add some more CFL's.
they look heavily nute burned, is the miracle grow water active nutes? If not flush, if so then may i recommend a transplant.
