isnt watermelon juices... alittle ALKALINE....it might drop the ph ...a little....and it might bring bugs :/ ... idk....tho....try to add some to a hydro system!
yeah, its a little alkaline, so i've not been watering with straight watermelon, i've been diluting it. yeah, if i was doing hydro, definatly. im sure it would be much better in a hydro system. if i ever do hydro- which i would like to one day- then i would try this experiment again with that. But if anyone is trying to do a hydro experiment, add some watermelon water in the mix. Let me know how it works out and the end result of the budz.

awesome thread.. im currently using hyrdo maybe the last 3 weeks of flower ill use watermelon water if it works out
definatly, that would be awesome if you could. a question for you, have you done hydro before with the strain your growing? if you have it would be nice so that you could really compare the difference in the end result.

Hmmm.. I'm undecided on this one. I don't see any real benefit to it, though. Seems it would just create a sticky haven for bugs (not just gnats, but ANTS, flies, etc). Half the sugar content of apple juice still might not be low enough. Not to mention the fact that it's probably going to start stinking of rotten watermelon after a while.

I don't know... regular water works just fine!

maybe ill yield this time around with reg water.. then start the same strain on watermelon next time.. just to compare results

that sounds like a good plan to me. you could take some pics so you can also compare the growth levels and see if that has any change. so far with mine in soil, it seems the growth is the same. but they haven't been on this routine for long, so things could still change.

You could put some bananna juice in there too; if you added almonds; you could have Bananna Nut Bud :o

Currently you are growing wild watermelon weed.

wow, thanks so much on your informative input. i've tried that banana nut bud, its a little too nutty. and your wild watermelon weed is non-existant. but thanks again for the sarcasm.

squeeze all the water melon juice or any other fruits, orange, apple, kiwi, banana, mash them up ,get the juices, dilute it with water and it is all natural extracts. with no extra sugar or non-organic ingredients in juice. add it to your normal feed and it will give a sweet sticky flavourful bud that is all natural and good tasting!!. good luck. p.s i am doing this technique myself and the smell is un beliveable plus it does no hurt plants when it is diluted

I was wondering if watering a marijuana plant with the water from a watermelon would be okay to do. I have been doing some research and cannot find an answer. I have found juice is bad because of the high sugar content like apple or orange juice, and beer is good because of the barley, wheat, and hops. Yet nothing on watermelon water. I have done some research on watermelons and found that they have much of the nutrients needed for a healthy plant including: calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, and zinc. Other nutrients in a watermelon include: Vit. A, Vit. B1, Vit. B2, Vit. B3, B5, Vit. B6, Vit. B9, and Vit. C. It seems to me that it would work well perhaps mixed with plain water. If anyone knows an answer, please let me know or if not, your personal opinion would be helpful as well. If no one knows for sure, than I think I will do a little experiment and give it a try :-)
I read somewhere that scientists have found that eating 20 melons is like taking a pill of viagra, so it must be good:):weed:
