Thanks for the kind words everyone. I finished trimming my first plant last night. I think I need to do less good of a job trimming from now on.

I ended up with 163 grams wet. Probably about 35 grams dry.

It's wild... this plant took up hardly any of the screen space. I'm taking that as a good omen for the rest of the harvest.

pics...

man that trim gum looks good bet it got you riped off your ass bro lol
Man... seriously... this morning was the hardest morning I have had since I quit drinking. I was sooooooo high still when I woke up, like too high (if that exists).

I'm sorry I haven't indulged you guys with more details and pictures, but I'm beat.

Question for people (i know none of you know)... should I kill myself trimming the stuff I'm hoping to get to a medical dispesary? Do you guys think my trimming will get me more reimbursement?

I really don't know if all this trimming is worth it... but don't want to stop if it will help me.

Well if they want to turn it around, which they do, then bag appeal will be important.

I think you are really the only one who can truly judge if you are going too far though, given the fact that we can't be there to accurately evaluate things.

What does your gut tell you? I don't have any experience with these places.

well talking about trimming good and clinics............ i noticed that my spot has some really nice nugs but a majority of them have small leaves witch i dont care if they have trichs on them but i have noticed the smoke is different........makes a good bowl into a bad bowl.................... so bottom line to me is ask your wife to pick up the snips and help you out because trimming gets old fast and if your going to try and help the clinics your going to get more bang for your buck with a nice trimmed nug bongsmilie

Thanks canadiangrowman.

Harvesting my plants has given me a whole new beautiful appreciation of farmers and what they do. So much work, and love goes into growing things... and it all culminates in a harvest. Such an outpouring of effort and emotion to wrap up a continued effort over a period of moths. On one hand it's sad to see the plants go, but at the same time it's what they were meant to do. I guess it is a lot like your kid graduating high school or something.

Harvesting is a beautiful thing (whatever it is you are harvesting).

Another thing, trimming makes me think about good memories from my past... stuff I haven't thought of in years. It's really interesting. As much work as it is... I think I really love trimming as it required a good mix of concentration and being in the zone. I like that.

Now about trimming... here's what I am doing. I am NOT doing the good job I did on the first plant for the rest, but I am still doing a good job.

I figure it's worth something to trim nice, but I don't think there would ever be a return on offer that would make that last bit of perfectionism worth it.

I'm getting faster too... learning where things are on the plant/ bud. I have sooooooo much trim. There is going to be some good hash out of this.

The second plant has been slowly coming down over the past couple days... have a new box for it. I'm using baseball card boxes I never ended up using. The work pretty perfect... good shape and has slots for the strings.

Oh... and jesse about what my gut tells me in regards to the clubs... it tells me that medical mj laws need to be better written in california. Every club is so different in how they are run and attitude and goal. And everything is so secretive and hush hush... code words and shit. It fucking drives me crazy. I wish I could just TALK to someone about the whole thing, but everyone is so paranoid they can't tell you anything. And not just about selling it to them, they don't want to talk about anything. I feel lucky every time they actually let me buy pot.

No kidding... it was all sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much easier when I just had a dealer. But now I'm legal and get my choice of like 30 strains each time... trade offs.

Thanks a lot... actually already dumped the trim onto a shelf and it's open to the air and mostly I try to keep it not on top of other trim, but I have so damn much. I swear there is as much trim as bud.

Thanks for the compliments too. :bigjoint:

The bud from the first plant is almost dry... soon to go into jars.

Something I'm pretty bummed about is I've found some very small seed things. I mean they are seeds I guess, but they are babies or something. I really don't know. How does that work?

They have only really been on the really shaded stuff... is that a sign of shaded branches? that doesn't really make sense to me?

I am also worried becuase I think they might be all over the white widow??? I don't really want to start poking at the buds before I cut them, but I'm kinda worried.

It would really suck to have seeds mess up my harvest, especially since they aren't real seeds of any use.

Great job with the grow and thanks for documenting your process. I am going to try a screen of green with an ebb and flow system. Have you seen this done before?

I don't think so... but no reason not to. The only problem I see is the one I have of not being able to move the system if needed. I guess try to have the screen attach to the tray to remedy... or just live dangerously like me.

GREAT JOB!! great thread!
Thank you.

I have the second plant cut down, trimmed, and drying now.

My first plant is dry and jarred up for a cure. I haven't weighed anything yet.

I'll upload pics and weights tomorrow.

And no smoke report yet... I'm waiting a few days to try it. I'll let you guys know on Tuesday. :bigjoint:

Jig! Congrats man! We've been waiting so long for you to put up your harvest day. Plants look great (but that's obvious with your virtually decade long flowering time ;-))

So glad that someone we've watched for so long can finally claim rightful ownership of something they've babied, grown, and poured sweat, blood and tears (...and money...) into. Enjoy dude. And don't think after a 98 page thread you can cheap out on all your fans without a proper dried weight and smoke report!

Fucking beauty of a grow Jig (just saw something like it in the latest High Times by the way, send in pics??)
