hello! well, I got the book invisible marijuana, good book by the way, and in there it shows how to grow shrooms and it looks pretty damn easy....hell, if I want shrooms, I can go to the pasture across the way and pick em...but I thought it would be fun to grow my own.......


so I begin my quest, give me a few weeks to get supplies and spores but in the meantime, feel free to post comments, advice, etc. if you want..remember, I never grew shrooms before so bear with me...I will update as I get supplies... :hug:

I love shrooms. And they arnt as easy to get.at least for me any more.
 
thx bro... I have some hippie friends and I do alot of reading and I decided I kinda wanna grow shrooms and also use them as a ways to find myself...I honestly can say I never did shrooms before!! always pick em but never did them...never had the right "friends" or atmosphere :) but these dudes are waaay cool :) thx for stopping by! next time I pick shrooms, I'll post them gotta wait for some rain though :(
 
Hey there Dr. GH. good on ya. shrooms were aq special deal for me during college. And a couple of times through adult life. Then I grew some a couple of year back and still have some spores, as well as spore prints from my gro. It was fun - actually a helluva a lot of fun. I am sure to be doing it again, not sure when. I am envious of your access to shrooms, lol. I am sure you will love them, very intense experience though. How do you plan to grow them?
 
I am not sure yet.. I am still reading up on them.. I have access to shrooms but being that I never did them, I am scared try by myself. Plus what if I accidently eat the wrong shroom? Yikes! :)
 
yea....wrong shrooms can be a LLM (life-limiting-move) - and yea, they are intense - though I expect I have not gone to the extent that I read of some other people's experiences. I have not taken it to its zenith I'm sure. You may know it but Erowid is a good "info" site. I participated at the Shroomery site. don't even know if its still active or not. For me, in the doseage that I am accustommed to, it is a fabulous experience - each and every time. No weed, no alcohol, clean and clear. Simple wonderful.

I think I definetly reached that point a few times, thats what I get for eating more than a quarter... but I gots to say that drinking with halucinogenics is both dangerous and awesome. and yeah, save the pot for the come down, you may need it. I say start with a low dose and get used to embracing craziness, then try a lot! I honestly prefer LSD personally.
 
excellent commentary. thanks for sharing. I have only tried cid once and it was wonderful. just never pursued it again. I will still do the shrooms their justice. The right time will come, I expect, quite, unexpectedly. I am seriously looking forward to growing some more advanced and refined strains of cannabis, whilst planning a fungi grow. I used to pop them pretty regular years ago when i worked on some ranches collecting plants. Mushrooms leave NO room for mistakes. Best to grow them urself.
 
have you decided upon your grow medium. I had read that started with a brown rice flour jars was the way to start. Many people swear by their own methods. Coco-coir also seems to be very popular. I have to see about planning to do my own again. You got me thinking. the really tough part of preparing the growth medium and then inoculating, and making sure you do not get contamination. If contamination become evident, the safest thing to do is start over. You do not want to be taking any chances with any contamination. The forums generally have a contamination section for FAQs. Once the mycelium growth has propogated itself throughout your growth medium, choivces once again abound as to what you can do next. My single independet cakes produced great fungi and that oh so wonderful to experience. Shrooms are my absolute favorite. a pic of one of my grow, and then, a tray that I dream about LOL! good luck. welll, that day is here!!! anyone know where I can order some spores that will deliver to the US? particularly, HI? I checked out that place erowid, but had a hard time using it and couldn't find a site where I could order from. help please :)
 
hey there ... erowid is an info only site. they are not a sales depot. The sales places that I am familiar with include: spores101 (Can and US) .... but there's another that I can't find at the moment .... I'll let you know what else I find.
