Hi im new to hydroponics and i built my own dwc hydroponics system.
Im makeing a journal and first i would like some opinions based on the materials i purchased and the design i have.
And please if you can recommend anything please feel free.

Pleas im new to this any suggestion?
I bought just about all my materials at home depot.
I have a 5 gal. bucket with 3 inch round hole cut for 3 in. net cup.
A 60 gal 2 port air pump hooked to 1 5 inch round air stone.
I bought Grodan mini-BLOCK rock wool cubes, general hydroponics ph test kit, bag of hydroton, and GH brand FloraBloom (0-5-4)and FloraMicro (5-0-1) My bro said i dont need FloraGro i dont know why but i didnt buy it so hope not.
I built a light fixture out of home parts (thanks to being an electrician) That holds 4 100 watt CFL bulbs that emit alot of light! =D
Everything seems to be working as planed. please comment .. make sugestions.

There is really no telling man. I've never seen a set up like yours. Every setup yeilds different amounts so its all in how you treat them from here on out. You got a tds meter?

wat is a tds meter? is it the same as ppm meter? why do i need it?

ya its the same thing, just different abrevations. ppm is parts per million and tds is totatl disolved solids. It measures the amount of nutrient solution in your res.

naw not unless you start burning them. For future grows when you start getting better at it I would deffinately buy one.

yea i dont have any probs wit nute burn so ill get it next time hey did u see the clone i have in dirt? i used backyard dirt with sum peat moss will that be good? and how long can i keep it in that pot?im flowering all the way

Probably you won't get much off of it maybe a blunts worth or something ya know. Did you use any cloning gel or humidty dome? The reason I'm asking is cause I haven't cloned before but have all the stuff to do it. I was wondering if I could clone my GWS and then stick it under my hps to veg a lil and then put her in the dresser to flower. I wanna keep the GWS going cause I don't wanna buy seeds for her again.

hey better den nothing and yea i used used root hormones and humid dome and all clones rooted jus didnt have any where 2 put them so imma jus put them in dirt

Ok cool. For some damn reason I can't get my humidome to seal all the way. It doesn't create the condensation effect so I don't really want to try it. Are you using the one with the bottom tray and then you can put the "rockwell" tray inside of that and then the lid? Thats the one I have and for some reason it doesn't seal I mean at all everytime I try to press it down it pops up on another side.

Aight cool. Looks like whenever the GWS is ready to give me a clone I will be taking some from her. I wanna save one for a mother plant but I don't know where I'd hid her. Maybe in the attic or something. I just won't run the big fan I guess. It would be really nice not to have to buy seeds for a while.
