What does grams/m2 mean?

I see a lot of yields on seed bank sites expressed like this - Yield: 350- 500 grams/m2 . Can anyone let me know what they mean? Thanks.

it means how much dried weight the plant would normally yield per square meter.

you can basically say per yard if that makes it easier.
