If you read my water cure thread I'm sure it's quite clear neither flavour nor smell is particularly important to me, but it is to some people, and why not have the best of both worlds?
I grow soil and aero, why use hydro when aero is just as easy and as much as 30% faster???

Yea I know the last one is a bit fucked up, but that stuff came out pretty good ... That was the first time I grew using a hydro technique haha. - That's a 20L bucket that one plant is in.

Haha! Nice logic... Never considered the Cannabis Cup myself, we have a local Cannabis Cup sort of thing where I am, never bothered with it though.

Green House Seeds recommend growing in soil for 'full flavour' with some of their strains, but the fast production of aero can be a bit more tempting! lol

you know its funny you mention the 30% growth rate..
i mean its like every thing is measured on this imaginary scale of production percentages and they have to be multiples of 10.. aero vs. soil 30%.. co2 sup. 20%... sog a week less...stacking bud sites with bushmaster, up to a week less.. it seems if we could just do all the right things we could pull crops in a month instead of 2 or 3..

Potency isn't really something that's visible to the naked eye you realize, a plant can contain many trichs, doesn't mean those trichs have high levels of cannabinoids... And some buds tend to hold a lot more resin within, rather than on the external parts of the bud, especially compact buds.
