problem with carbon filter!!! +rep

ive got 4 bb blue cheeses 4 weeks into flowering ive got a standard 4" filter and 4"rvk fan and its not getting rid of the smells my grow space is 80cm x 80cm x 235cm has any 1 got any answers on what it could be +rep for solvin my problem
Im using a canfilter 66 in a 3x3 tent with 12 flowering plants. No smell period in my room. The tents in my closet and exhaust into the room. Odorless.

How long have you been using that filter? Maybe the carbon is spent and it needs to be refilled.

Where is the filter located? smells will rise so it should be near the the top and center of your grow area

I wouldn't worry about it...
I'm two weeks away from my first harvest and it's starting to get a bit dank in my bedroom (where my Homebox is). The odor is not that strong and you can't smell it outside of the room; even with the carbon filter.
Perhaps if you have side vents/ducts, etc. you should score some universal carbon pre-filter and wrap it around your carbon filter (mine came like that) and also stick some on any other vents so that any air that passes through is also filtered to some extent.
I thought the Cheese strains were supposed to reek anyhow...

You can add a scotts rag wit holes in it fold it over on itself then crush carbon with a spoon all over the rag (Spray bottle helps mix the rag/carbon) And then fit the rag inbetween one of ur duct work fittings on the exhaust line and when u connect the fittings it will tighten the rag and bing go ur problem should go away. Of course keep the filter u already have on there as well so really ur hittin the air flow twice..

No... really no difference at all that u can notice im using them right now with computer fans which generally have lower CFM speeds like 80 and below if they are 80mm

I had the same problem. My filter was not the rating it promised. My fan would pull to hard. It got rid of some smell but when it got bad last grow I had a good idea.
Ozone generator. I nuked it. I got the uv model used for 50 bucks on ebay. I took the lid off and stuck it in my exhaust. SO on bad days I just turn the ozone on. But only when I am not in the room! It can mess you up bad right off the bat. Lol, just common sense. Weird dreams tho. . .
Make sure you get the uv models not the corona discharge model that makes nitric acid as a byproduct which will kill plants.
Cheap easy, or you could get another filter so then you have 2. Get a thick packed bed model. Some are more packed if you read the specs.
