Post office left note to come pick up package ( seeds from attitude )

if they want you to sign, they usually put a piece of paper in the box that says specifically that you have a parcel that must be signed for. otherwise, the piece of paper that says to come to the window or lobby to pick up your parcel was put in your box in place of the parcel because the mail sorter figured that it would be too much of a hassle to try to fit the parcel into your box. or maybe they were afraid that the packagemight fall out the back of the box. (obviously, if an envelope with a letter inside it falls out onto the floor, no damage to the contents of the envelope will result. the same cannot always be said of packages, large or small.) my post office does the same thing, and sometimes for parcels that could easily fit into my box, and that have very legal, boring things inside.. Try not to worry.

Was the package bigger than your mailbox? If it was thats normal for the post office to tell you to come get it.

They have your address and know where you live already anyway. Maybe attitude sent it requiring a sig on accident?

Heck, around here they put the slip in your box for even packages the size of a pack of cigarettes.

Its just because its a tracked order they dont want to deal with people saying they didnt get there package.

I had to sign for an attitude order that the mail man brought to my door.

Also the colored package thing is paranoid BS.

Theres nothing to gain from busting you as you pick up your package. Its not cost effective from a law enforcement agencys point of view. Not for seeds.

Now go get those seeds

In case anyone was interested, picking up the package at the post office was no big deal. It took a minute for them to find it since it had literally just got back off of the delivery truck. It's been a few months since this happened. I think the carrier just didn't want to put it in my mailbox which is kinda small.

the only thing diff about this order was it was a "replacement" order..

I'm gonna guess that since it was a replacement, they want to make SURE that you get it. So they sent it w/ delivery confirmation.
