Go purple or go home

well it's not the air temp I am worried about it's the temp of the table they sit on... they are only in bags so I don't want the roots to get to cold.. I have a 1500 watt heater in there and also a 250 watter under the table.. and water temps are at 71.. room is at 74 and 32 humidity.. outside its 43F and 45H
so you dont keep the room that cold??
i know if it were that cold they would stop growing and powder mildew and root rot would get em/ 50 is too cold

Where is the purple?

Answer: there isn't any because it's too early in the season!

My Response: then there is no reason to lower the temperatures this early.

My response is this thread was a joke.. to see how many people would buy into it and yes there is purple I just haven't taken pictures without the hps

There is hardly as much yellow hue as most people's pics.. and none of the leaves look darker (generally purple would look more dark than green, even under a HPS). So, can we see the purple pics?

I mean man, your plants look pretty good (pretty healthy too). But if the technique of lowering temps in the early stages of growing isn't giving instant results... I just worry you're overstressing your plants. That's all..

While many children like to get dank LOOKING weed, as you grow up, you really just want dank weed. The best weed in potency and yield (quantitative data) is Green. If it turns purple due to conditions, you are only stressing your plants, the end product would be better and more copious, assuming you didn't stress it and allowed it to remain green. Genetically purple plants such as 'the purps' have been bred so that the primary characteristic of the plant, is the purple color. Taste, potency, yield, etc. all take a back seat to color. Does the shade of color really make that big of a difference? Personally I would rather get stoned on green than zoned on purps. Just a few facts mixed in with opinion. GL

P.S. if you do chose to continue stressing your plants so they turn purple, it will only really be worth your time if you do it in the last few weeks of flowering, imitating the coming of fall in the natural environment.

This is a funny thread, all these opinions...I grow out all types of purple, just started some grow journals today on here to log it from sprout to finish for all the purple and color lovers like myself. Just get a purple strain my friend, the temps thing "helps" but if u want "purple" then get a purple strain. U can get dank ass purple, some people had bad experiences with the weak ass purples that were around but thanks to some devoted breeders making the right crosss and inbreeding u can have the dank and the "purdy colors". Good luck on your journey my friend

Very nice bro.... I love the areo garden.. I didn't think it was possible to get results like that... I think I will have to go buy one now... + rep.. stop by my private journal....

I will smack the next person who says Sensi has real Purple Haze! The real purple haze died a long time ago! Sensi has some haze plant that has been crossed bred with some random purple plant.. IT IS NOT PURPLE HAZE!
