Rockwool question

Hey all.

Ive been using soil for my first grow from seed and now for my second and clones i am going to try rockwool because ive heard its better. How often do i have to watter the rockwool, should it be damp all the time or wetting and drying. Any tips appriciated.

wetting and drying works for me. You don't want to over water it.

soak the cubes for a few hours b4 in a solution like multiphive just 1 drop per ltr.Then start of with yhe small cube's the 2ince ones make your hole at a slite angle so this will get the roots through faster.When you take your cube's out give them a squeeze b4 putting your clones in they only need to be damp check them every couple of days and spray the 4 sides of the cube i also spray the top of the leaves because this is the only way your plant can obtain water while it has no roots has soon has there is any sign of roots bang them into some soil.But i then put mine int the larger cubes ready for hydro system.PUT YOUR CLONE'S INTO SOME ROOTING GEL OR POWDER FIRST,I THINK GEL IS ALOT BETTER BUT EVERYONE HAS THERE OWN PREFRENCE.

Excellent thanks for the info. I was in an awkward situation last night and i think I screwed 6 Seeds for nirvana. I had germinated them 2 days ago and when i checked them yesterday they were ready to plant. Then i read the rockwool has to be soaked for 24 hours before, so i kept the seeds in the cloth till this morning. Their roots were about an inch long and curley so i couldnt get them into the rockwool holes. For 2 of them I slit a cube in half and placed the seeds in and pushed the cube back together. Fingers crossed.

\i soak the cubes for like an hour in ph'd water and thats it...never had a problem!!!

Yea especially the little A-ok's only need to soak for an hour or so.
