Can anyone tell me what i can do for this one. She has been like this for a week or so now and not getting any better. My first thought is humidity is too low. I have a little heater in my grow room, i think it might be drying out the air too much. Thanks in advance!

She is in a 4" RW cube in a 1 gal pot with hydroton. Sorry for not specifying in the first post. I water every other day.
 
you might need to step up your watering....she looks thirsty to me...1 gal with hydroton wont hold much moisture....
 
Nick, Could it be a problem with my root strucure. I had a pump failure and they dried out for a day or so. Do you think that would do it.

The dankness what makes you think it has too much nitrogen?

The tips are bending down and they look to have beginning signs of "the claw." I have only ever seen the claw on plants that are over fertilized. Plus the leaves are very dark green for what looks to be a sativa dominant plant. Happy sativa's have bright green leaves, indica have a tendency to have dark leaves but the individual leaf blades look too narrow to be indica.
 
She had the claw first and is now withering up. So how do you think i can fix this problem? A good flush and ease back on the nutes?

The Dankness....It sounds like you know your strains. Do you mind taking a look at this one and telling me what strain you think it is? She is very sermetrical. All of her fan leaves line up perfectly with the row below. Check it out.

Sermetrical? Hahahaha, sorry I couldn't resist. Its symmetrical, as in symmetry. Most plants show symmetry in the development of their fans.

On second thought, your plant does look somewhat indica dominant. The claw must have made the individual leaflets appear more narrow than they are. In the new pic the plant seems to definitely have an indica dominant growth pattern: very little branching activity on a short stocky plant. With that said, its nearly impossible to identify a strain based on appearance alone. There are literally hundreds, probably thousands of strains of cannabis. Usually the best you can do is guess the ratio of indica/sativa. Your plant is probably 60/40 indica/sativa, which means you should get a nice balance of body buzz and stone action from smoking the buds. Other than that its pretty much a shot in the dark.
 
sorry im spelling sucks.lol at least you knew what i ment. Thanks for the feed back. Are there any special growing needs for indica dommant plants?

But back to the inital problem plant, A good flush and then what?

I would say a good flush, let the soil completely dry out, then resume regular feeding. Except alternate feeding with nutes and just plain water. This will prevent over fertilization and lockout. Thats what I would do anyway.

I have to agree with dude.

You need to be watering 3 times per day. Even with low humidy a plant in hydroton should be able to get enough water because of all the oxygen at the roots.

Wow I have to quote myself here and call myself an idiot. I totally assumed you were growing in soil. I don't even think lockout is possible in hydroton haha. I retract my advice and now I think I agree with the rest: watering issue. Hydroton pellets are meant to be used in hydro systems that are frequently watered, several times a day. Maybe you could use some good old passive hydroponics and leave a couple inches of standing water at the bottom of your pot? I imagine the plant would still get enough oxygen to the root zone through the hydroton pellets. Anyone here ever tried that? I think it should work IMO.

You mean like NFT on a flood table? That be a good idea if the res temps could be controlled.
